Hong Kong, China.

We can colocate standard rack-mountable servers or other kinds of standard or non-standard telecommunications equipment. We have space available from 1 RU up to full enclosed, lockable cabinets and private, caged areas and suites.

Building

This carrier neutral facility located in downtown Hong Kong. It provides co-location space for a large range of clients including submarine cable operators, telecommunication carriers, retail and other industries. The data center rooms use 600 x 600mm raised floor tiles which are approximately 300mm above the concrete floor.

Rack Space

In the data center the racks provided are lockable and secure standard 19” 800mm x 600mm x 42U (D x W x H).

There are also 23” racks available upon request for an additional fee if your equipment is larger than standard size.

The power supply to the racks can be varied depending on your needs, single or dual feeds with 10A to 100A of power per rack.

The standard voltage in Hong Kong is 230V, however if you have special power requirements the data center can provide up to 380V AC per circuit at an additional cost.

The racks are designed as such that there is ample room for multiple cable types to terminate at any rack. In the rack itself adequate space is provided so that all your internal cables can be organised and safely attached to the walls of the cabinet.

Security

As security is an integral part of any data center the facility has a number of different monitoring systems in place to ensure the safety of your equipment.

In each of the data rooms and at every exit and entrance there are CCTV cameras which is closely watched by our network operations office 24x7x365.

with alarm systems in the advent of a person trying to illegally enter or exit the building.

Each of the customer rooms is fitted with a card reader system and requires a PIN code in order to gain access.

There also security guards present on site 24x7x365 that monitor the CCTV systems as well as carry out routine patrols within the data center.

Power Supply & Redundancy

The data center has a number of different power sources so that in the event of an interruption of the supply of mains power customers equipment continues to operate normally.

The main power is supplied from an independant feed that is setup as a ring-circuit which is the most reliable setup and means no single failure point will discontinue the supply.

In addition to the main AC supply there is also a 48V DC supply which can be utilized by equipment requiring DC power without the need for a transformer.

In event of the mains power being interrupted there is a 220V/380V UPS system in place setup in the N+1 configuration to ensure a constant supply of power. If the mains power is distrupted for longer periods there are

Cooling System

In the data center the temperature is controlled by a computerized heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system.

The air conditioning systems keeps the temperature in the range of 21C +/- 3C and the humidity in range of 40-60%.

Fire Prevention & Supression

As fire is always risk in areas with large amounts of electrical equipment the data center utilizes both fire prevention and suppression systems. There are smoke detectors placed in all areas of the facility which are able to notify the NOC in the event of fire as well as trigger the fire prevention system.

The data center only uses water-free gas flame retardant to suppress fires ensuring that damage to equipment is kept to a minimum.

Before the gas is released an alarm is sounded 30 seconds prior to give staff and visitors to the data center time to escape to a safe environment.

As the facility is carrier neutral it boasts an impressive direct inconnect with 140 carriers with whom connectivity can be established through our meet-me room. There are not only the large carriers such as Verizon/MCI but also a host of smaller carriers which are available to all customers. All customers are also given access to 1 Gigabit ethernet connection to the HKIX peering point.

In addition to the diverse number of carriers there are also a range of services available including wiring for local loops, fiber optic cables, IP networks and even satellite services. There is cabelling in place so that any customer may have a connection setup to any other customer within the facility.
