Implement programs and activities in accordance with Title III
Supplemental instructional support in English language development will be provided for English Learners at all levels. Student engagement, participation, and understanding will increase with the use of SDAIE instructional strategies, additional opportunities for teacher and student interaction, and additional support time for teacher planning for specific needs. Designated ELD instruction, K-12, is and will continue to be provided to English learners during the school day for at least 30 minutes with the goal of 45 minutes or one class period for 6-12. Daily ELD instruction by proficiency level will be provided. K-12 use the core with
integrated English Language instruction through newly adopted English Language Arts curriculum materials, ELD Materials, and supplemental materials to support enhanced English Language Arts and English-Language Development.
Use the subgrant funds to meet all accountability measures
To improve the annual percentage of English Learners become proficient in English and reach high academic standards, at a minimum attaining proficiency or better in reading/language arts and mathematics sub grant funding will be used to:
Purchase supplemental materials to enhance instruction four our English Learners
Provide supplemental training and collaboration time for teachers on ELD and SDAIE strategies.
Provide tutorials and extended learning opportunities to help English Learners obtain proficiency in English and master grade level content.

Provide additional training to parents of English Learners to promote parental and community participation in programs for English Learners.

Hold the school sites accountable
The school sites will review academic benchmarks with information disaggregated for English learners a minimum of once per quarter and adjust instruction, extended learning opportunities, and student groupings according to student need. Progress will be monitored by teachers, administrators, and students, and information will be delivered to parents. In addition, observations (both in the classroom and during staff training and collaboration) will be conducted by administration to ensure that they are doing the work needed to support English Learners.

Frontloading lessons/activities provided for EL students one month prior to state CELDT/ELPAC testing to encourage active participation.
English learners not making annual progress on the CELDT and or/ district or teacher recommendation may receive supplemental instruction after school.
Sheltered immersion, intense site-based ELD instruction using ELPD training targeted instructional strategies to EL students that are newcomers in grades K-12 will be
monitored through lesson plans, Classroom Walkthroughs, Principal Evaluations, and mentoring observations.
CELDT/ELPAC Testing will be administered according to protocols and timelines.

El Tejon Unified School has selected and is in the process of piloting and purchasing a comprehensive ELA and ELD curriculum. Professional Development training surrounding adoption of new Language Arts and ELD materials will be provided by publisher.

The Title III El Tejon-Maricopa Consortium will provide high quality professional development by contracting with the publishers of our newly adopted curriculum, the Kern County Schools Office of Education, as well as participation in Conferences offered that focus on the needs of English Learners and their families.
Attend Title I Annual Conference to implement additional strategies for engaging parents and students as well as best practices for English Learners.

Please describe the factors contributing to failure to meet desired accountability measures.
The district failed to meet desired accountability measures because the data for English learners was not disaggregated for teachers, parents, and students, focus fell on implementation of Common Core Standards without the focus on English Language Development Standards, teacher training and collaboration time was not developed to promote integrated instruction of English Language
throughout the curriculum, designated ELD instruction lacked a curriculum, strategies to promote the best practices were not developed or employed uniformly from subject to subject, and teachers were not allotted time to analyze available data and set individual goals for students.
Please describe all required modifications to curriculum, program, and method of instruction.
Currently Illuminate has been purchased for El Tejon Unified School district wide as a data collection and disaggregation tool, trainings have begun and will continue
