With the official release of amendments to O. Reg. 364/20 Rules for Areas at Step 3, and after consultation with our local health unit SMDHU (that we have worked so closely with throughout this pandemic), Red Barn Event Centre has received confirmation that we will be required to ensure any person 12 years of age or older who participates in an indoor class or event must provide proof of identification and of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19. This will apply to any indoor events/classes at Red Barn, not outdoor, and will come into full effect on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. It applies to ALL persons over the age of 12.
Permission has been granted by the Canadian Kennel Club for holding these events under the Rules and Regulations of the CKC, Rules and Regulations of the Canadian Kennel Club. No entries will be accepted, altered, cancelled, or
substituted after the official closing date and time, for entries, except for as provided in the rules.

CKC has a Non-Member Participation Fee of $62.40+ HST. This fee only applies to dogs wholly owned by nonmember residents of Canada and is not applicable to CKC members. In order for the title to be awarded, the non-member will have a choice to either become a CKC member or pay the non-member participation fee. Failure to comply within 30 days of notification will result in the title being withheld and the dog cannot be moved up to the next level. The fee applies only to dogs wholly owned by non-member residents of Canada and is not applicable to CKC members.

CATALOGUES: Catalogues are available on a PRE-ORDER basis. Those who wish to pre-order at a price of $4.00 may do so by indicating this on their entry form. There will be a limited number of catalogues available for sale at the trial for a price of $5.00 exact change.
Entry in each trial will be limited to the capacity of the judge to perform 7 hours of judging at the rate 15 dogs per hour less time for walk throughs in rally obedience Once a judge has reached his/her capacity, entries for that trial will be closed even if the closing date has not been reached. In the case of the entry limit having been reached, remaining entries will be assigned a position (by class) on a reserve list. Exhibitors will be notified of their position on the reserve list. If the entry of a bitch in season is pulled after the closing of entries, it may be substituted with one from the reserve list up to and including the day of the trial. If the entry of another dog is pulled prior to the trial, it may be substituted with one from the reserve list up to 24 hours prior to the trial.
BITCHES IN SEASON
Bitches in season are not permitted to compete. When a bitch comes into season after entries close, a Veterinarian’s Certificate, certifying that the bitch was in season within ten days of the trial must reach the Trial Secretary on or before the day of the trial prior to the judging of the class and the club will refund entry fees.
1. No entry will be accepted unless all particulars called for on the entry form are completed in full.
2. Incomplete entries will be returned. No entry will be accepted unless accompanied by entry fees (an invoice will be emailed to you then you can etransfer the fees. Telephone and telegraph entries cannot be accepted. Exhibitors must abide by errors made in entering their dogs regardless of how or by whom the entries were made.
3. Alterations, substitutions, or cancellations of any entry after the closing date is prohibited. Only dogs which are already registered in the Canadian Kennel Club Stud Book, or are eligible for registration can be entered. The committee reserves
the right to refuse any entry subject to CKC Rules. ENTRIES POSITIVELY CLOSE TUESDAY MARCH 15, 2022, OR WHEN THE ENTRY LIMIT IS REACHED, WHICHEVER OCCURS FIRST.
4. judging schedules will be emailed as soon as possible after the entries close. Your entry invoice must be presented upon arrival at the trial.
1. The Trial Superintendent will be in full charge of the trial which will be governed by CKC rules.
2. Simcoe Performance Dogs will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume liability, in the event of accident, or other misfortunes, to either dogs, exhibitors, or patrons.
3. If, because of riot, civil disturbance, or other acts beyond the control of management, it is impossible to open or complete the trial, no refund of Entry will be made. 4. The trial precincts shall be the entire building of The Red Barn Event Centre.

The Obedience Trial Committee Chair shall promptly report to the CKC any infringement of this regulation, and the Discipline Committee shall have the authority to take such action as it deems fit on receipt of a report indicating that this has occurred.

RALLY OBEDIENCE TRIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS
The Exhibitor is responsible for knowing and complying with the Rally Obedience Rules and Regulations of the Canadian Kennel Club. Section 17.7 of the Rally Obedience Rules and Regulations states: It shall be the duty and obligation of the trial-giving club to see that a judge, club official, ring steward, volunteer or competitor at a rally Obedience Trial held under these regulations, is not subject to indignities of any kind. The Trial Committee Chair shall promptly report to the CKC any infringement of this regulation, and the Discipline Committee shall have the authority to take such action as it deems fit on receipt of a report indicating that this has occurred.
RALLY CHAMPION (RCH)
Section 16.1 The CKC will permit the use of the letters RCH to be used as a prefix of the name of any dog that has met the requirements for that title as hereinafter provided.
Section 16.2 A dog may begin earning points toward the RCH title as soon as the Rally Master (RM) title requirements have been completed.
Section 16.3 The RCH title will be awarded to dogs that have successfully earned a minimum of 100 points total from competing in both the Excellent B and Master classes in the same trial.
(a) 50 points must come from the Rally Excellent B class, including a minimum of five (5) scores of 95 or higher.
(b) 50 points must come from the Rally Master class, including a minimum of five (5) scores of 95 or higher.

From the 400: Take the Essa Road exit. Turn west on Essa (sign says Essa Road South). Turn right at Ardagh Road. Follow Ardagh to County Road 27. Go South on County Road 27.(aka Town Line Road) Property is on the west side of the road down a long driveway. There is a private residence at the front of the property.
From Hwy 27: When traveling North on CR 27 you must turn left shortly after passing through the town of Thornton. Look for the 20th Sideroad on your left and then the 10th Line on your right, that’s your cue to slow down. Then you will see a small sign on your right that shows you must turn left to stay on CR 27.
Turn left on CR 27 and continue north. After passing Mapleview Dr. W. you will go down a big hill, the Red Barn is on your left at the bottom of the hill.

Section 16.4 A qualifying score must be earned in both the Excellent B class and the Master class in the same trial on five (5) different occasions under at least five (5) different judges.
COMPETITORS: SPECIAL COVID-19 INFORMATION
Due to ongoing concerns with the coronavirus disease, we are asking for your cooperation to limit the possible spread of the disease, and ensure an environment that is safe and comfortable for all participants.
This event is required to follow provincial regulations requiring participants to present proof of 2 COVID vaccinations completed on or before October 9, 2021.
Please do not participate if you answer “Yes” to any of the following in the 14 days prior to the trial:
• Have you experienced any fever, cough or have difficulty breathing?
• Have you returned from the U.S. or other international destinations?
• Have you been in contact with a traced to a COVID-19 case?
• Have you had contact with a compromised person who has been outside Canada?
Special Measures and Instructions:
• Face masks/face coverings will be required in the building, including in the washroom. You may remove your face mask when you are in the ring and working your dog.
• Please park to allow for social distancing.
• Walk-through group size will be limited to a safe number as determined by the judge, all competitors will be required to wear a mask.
• Exhibitors will remove and retrieve their own leashes. A chair or other object will be placed in the ring for the leash.
• Limited crating will be provided in a safe environment. We ask that when your dog is not entered in the class you crate out of your car.
• We encourage you to leave the facility promptly when you are done for the day.
• No lunch or water will be available to competitors, please bring water for your dogs and please take your garbage home.
