IMPORTANT EVENT INFORMATION FOR DIRECTORS

Check-in: All directors must check in on arrival. Check-in location is on Chrisanta Drive after you turn from La Paz ( look for the Welcome Tent ). Wristbands for

performers will be given to you in your check - in packet upon arrival. These wristbands only provide access to designated seating for performers. Gate ushers will direct you to the appropriate entrance gate and seating area. Directors, Staff, Media, and Pit

Crew/Chaperones will need to use their official WBA Credential for admission to the stadium. Any chaperones or other guests that wish to watch on the home side will be asked to purchase a general admission spectator wristband from the ticket booth.

Parking Information: Please check - in with the parking personal upon arrival, and they will escort you to your assigned parking area. We request that all trucks, trailers, and equipment vehicles arrive TOGETHER with the student buses. Space is limited, and the parking has been mapped to accommodate all the schools based on their size and number of attendees. Directors need to present WBA credentials.

Restrooms:

Are located on both sides of the stadium and on campus (on-site guides can direct you).

Wrist bands are required to enter the stadium area. We highly recommend you distribute wrist bands to your students immediately after you receive them.

Health & Safety:

See map at end of packet.

Hospitality:

We have a wonderful hospitality area for staff members to eat and relax, on the tennis court at the north end of the stadium. We invite you and your staff to join us for some great food and refreshments . There will be a cell phone charging station there too.

Music Warm Up Areas:

All upper parking lots are quiet zones. Practice may take place on campus or on the lower practice fields. Percussion, please stay away from quiet zones as far as possible.

Props and other Equipment:

Please make sure you have adequate staff and means to assist the moving of your percussion equipment and props to and from the performance area. We have a hill coming from the upper lots to the stadium entrance. We will have ushers to help here.

Motorized vehicles are NOT allowed on the field turf at any time .

Performer Re-entry:

At check - in, you will receive a seating assignment for your ensemble. Please sit in the designated areas. Performers may only enter the visitor’s side of the stadium. Please remind them that they must enter from south of the ticket booth. The other entrance is for Front Ensemble and Prop entry along with performer’s exiting the field.

Staff Viewing Area/Sound Mixing Area:

There are observation areas located on both sides of the press box open for staff viewing, sound mixing, and videographers only; must show WBA credentials. An usher can guide you to the area.

Field & Hash Marks:

This is a high school football field with high school hash marks only and is turf.

Critique:

Critique will take place at the tent in the end zone on the south end of the field.

Drum Majors:

Please send your student leadership to the track on the north-west side of the stadium (the back of side 2, where the front ensembles pre - staged). Please refer to the schedule online for the exact timing.

Adjudication Comments:

The WBA uses Competition Suite , please make sure you have access before you arrive to the event.

WBA Adjudicators and Event Staff:

The Welcome Tent and other parking attendants will help you to your parking.

Photography & Video:

Still cameras (digital or film, professional or otherwise) are allowed into the stadium and may be used from stadium seating.

Tripods or other similar equipment that may obstruct the view or path of travel of others in seating areas are not allowed.

Any liability associated with unauthorized recordings will rest with the individual or organization making the recording. WBA does not condone, nor accept any liability fora ny unauthorized recording during the event.

FOP SPECTATORS AND GUESTS

PARKING:

There will be limited spectator parking at Mission Viejo High School. However, there is additional parking located at La Paz Intermediate School on Pradera and is an easy walking distance from our high school entrance, about ½ block away. Pradera turns into Diablo Dr. (entrance to the MVHS campus). There is also parking on the side streets around the school.

HANDICAP PARKING

is located near stadium. A parking attendant will guide you.

TICKET PRICES: Box Office opens at 3:00pm

All seating is general admission seating and open. Cash & Credit cards are accepted.

There will be a variety of food choices available for participants and spectators alike.

Specialty vendors will have dessert type of items. Cash and credit are accepted.

CONSTRUCTION

● I-5 Northbound and Southbound are under significant construction. Exit ramps are short and down to 1 lane, back-ups can happen easily and often. Freeway lanes, ramps and local streets are frequently re-striped and shifted. Alternate routes are under

SCHOOL CHECK-IN

● Check in will be curbside before you enter the campus

● Look for the EZ Up on your right as you enter Chrisanta Drive from La Paz Road ● You will receive your director’s packet

● You will be guided to your assigned parking location

● ALL Ensemble Vehicles must be together before checking in (eg. buses, trucks, vans)

ENSEMBLE ROUTING

You can pre-position your props in the prop staging area. Please use the prop pathway to get there. Please give right-of-way to ensembles leaving the field.

aware of the location of our first aid station. It is located on the grassy area on the north driveway into the stadium at beginning of pit entrance

FLU-LIKE SYMPTOMS: Should anyone come down with flu-like symptoms, there will be an isolated area located in the northwest corner of the tennis courts. We will have a table, chairs, EZ Up for them to rest in until a ride can be called to pick them up.

HAND SANITIZER: Hand Sanitizer will be available at the ticket windows, snack bar windows, vendor booth and Volunteer/Information table.
