Registration

Students should register for sessions within each term as follows:

Summer Term: Sessions A and B Fall Term: Sessions C, D and E Spring Term: Sessions F, G and H

See the dates within each session schedule for registration, add and drop, and course cancellation deadlines. Acceler-ated students are able to take traditional daytime courses in place of, or concurrent with, accelerated courses; however, the reduced accelerated tuition rate will not apply for such courses.

Students are responsible for understanding and complying with the college’s graduation, major and minor, foundation and elective course requirements. They should develop an academic plan of study with input from their academic advisor. Students are responsible for registering and, should their plans change, officially withdrawing in writing (online, email, fax or letter) from courses within the timelines outlined in this schedule. Students are responsible for full payment of tuition and fees for each course for which they have registered.

Registration & Payment Policy

1. Tuition is due one week before the semester or session begins.

a. The reduced Accelerated Tuition Rate applies to students who are 24 years of age or older, who take evening/weekend courses.

2. A late payment fee of $200 will be assessed if the student’s account balance is not satisfied in full by the day before the first day of the session.

3. A student may not register for a class if the student’s ac-count has a balance due greater than $300.

4. A late registration fee of $85 will be charged to all return-ing students, should they register on or after the first day of the semester or session.

5. A student may receive an official transcript or a diploma only when all financial obligations have been met.

Financial Aid

A variety of financial aid programs including loans, grants, and veterans’ benefits are available to full and part-time students. Full-time students carry at least 12 credits per semester. Financial aid is distributed on the basis of need as established by Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) guidelines. The FAFSA should be completed at least

12 weeks in advance of the semester in which aid is request-ed. The Office of Continuing Education requires students to file a course plan (preferably at the beginning of the summer session) for the entire academic year so that the Financial Aid Office may determine eligibility. Information regarding outside sources for loans is available.

Tuition Reimbursement Policy

• Students who receive 100% reimbursement by their employer are not required to pay tuition until the session is completed, provided they submit verification and a state-ment of personal responsibility.

• Students who receive less than 100% reimbursement, must pay the non-reimbursable portion before classes start. • Tuition is due within 30 days after the completion of the session; the student is responsible for payment.
