This half term we will explore the seasonal changes which take place in summer as well as pulling together our learning about the seasons from across the year.

Objectives:

● Observe the changes that take place in Summer

● Observe changes across the four seasons

● Observe and describe weather associated with the seasons and how day length varies.

This half term we will be asking questions and creating simple pictograms which we will use to record our data.

● To develop simple classification skills based on practical sorting activities.

● To, with support, use simple data plotting/ graphing programs to produce pictograms and other simple graphs.

● To place objects and pictures in a list or a simple table.

In this unit children will begin to learn how to keep themselves safe whilst out and about. We will also explore change and how to deal with the feelings of anxiety sometimes caused when changes occur.

In this unit children will work to become more competent and confident in the basic skills required to play team games. They will be taught to participate in team games, developing simple tactics for attacking and defending.

Objectives:

● To hit a ball with a bat. ● To throw in different ways.

● To use hitting, kicking and/or rolling in a game. ● To follow rules.

Our trip this half term will be a visit to the seaside!

This will link to our learning in both English and

Geography. We will investigate the locality and

compare it to where we live. We will also play some

traditional beach games and enjoy a picnic and an

ice cream.
