AMENDMENT AGREEMENT

OF THE SECOND PART

WHEREAS By agreement dated August 27, 2015 (the “Agreement”), Regional District and the Ladysmith

Resources Centre entered into an agreement for the purpose of providing financial assistance from the

Regional District to the Ladysmith Resources Centre.

An amendment agreement extended this Agreement until December 31, 2020 and both parties wish to

extend the agreement to 2023.

1. The term of the extended agreement between Regional District and the Ladysmith Resources

Centre dated August 27, 2015 and amendment agreement dated December 31, 2017 is extended

to December 31, 2023.

OF THE SECOND PART WHEREAS the l~egional District, by Bylaw Na. 1490, est<iblished a service

known

as the Southern Community Restorative Justice and Victim Services Support Service, to provide financial assistance in relation to restcirative justice and vlctlrn services programs operating in Schaal District 68 and carrying out program services in Electoral Areas A,

ANO WHEREAS the Ladysmith Resources Centre is the contract holder for the Ladysmith Victim Services Program;

AND WHEREAS the Regional District has approved an annual grant for operating purposes to assist the Ladysmith Victim Services Program;

AND WHEREAS the Regional District wishes to enter into an agreement having a term of three (3) years which may be renewed for further terms of three years based upon a satisfactory review of the Ladysmith Victim Services annual reports on its activities and the use of the funds;

NOW THEREFOFtE THIS AGREEMENT WITNESSETH that for and in consideration of the Regional District transferring to the Ladysmith Resources Centre monies raised by requisition in Electoral Areas 'A' and

the parties covenant and agree each with the other as follows: The Ladysmith Resources Centre ~ihall:

1. Arrange for annual reports to be provided to the Board of the Regional District on the activities and the use of the funds

The Term of this Agreement shall be for three years effective August, 2015 to December 31, 2017 with an option to ren€W for further terrns of three years.
