Enrichment Programme 2021

Phase 4 – Elite Squads, Year 7 Sports Academy and Performing Arts Opportunities

Enrichment is at the very heart of Ivybridge Community College, woven into all parts of College life and helping to provide a truly

rounded educational experience for all students. That is why we are committed to ensuring that the College’s Enrichment

Programme has and will continue to thrive throughout this academic year.

Please see below Phase 4 of our return to enrichment for Elite Squad Training (after College) for Years 8 – 13. These sports include

Football, Gymnastics, Netball and Rugby. Phase 4 also includes an opportunity for all Year 7 students to participate in the below

Sports Academy sessions. Phase 4 also includes the return of Performing Arts enrichment opportunities. The below Enrichment

Programme commences on Tuesday, 4 May. See below for registration details and further information.

Where to meet for the Academy sessions?

Due to restrictions, students are still unable to use the changing rooms. All students are to meet at the venue stated on the timetable, for the time allocated and for the specific Sports Academy. The Head of Academy for each sport and the Sports Academy coaches will meet and greet all students on arrival to sessions and provide instructions for where to place bags and personal property.

Elite Squads and Registration

All Elite Squads are required to participate in training sessions as stated on the Enrichment Programme. All Elite Squad members have been automatically placed on to SIMS for registration for after-College enrichment. All Elite Squads are to meet at the venue stated on the timetable at the start of every session.

Year 7 Registration

There is no need for Year 7 students to sign up for the Sports Academy sessions. Simply, turn up to the venue as stated on the timetable and your name will be recorded each time you participate in the sessions.

Where to meet for Performing Arts sessions and registration?

There is no need for students to sign up for the Performing Arts sessions. Simply, turn up to the venue or classroom as stated on the timetable and your name will be recorded each time you participate in the sessions.

What to wear and bring?

Due to restrictions, students are required to wear PE kit or Academy kit into College if they are participating in a physical/sport after-College enrichment activity. All students must remain smart in their kit. Students must remain in College uniform if the activity is not physical. Please ensure all students have plenty to drink and a small snack for after College.
