Ethernet To Meet Your Business And Bandwidth Needs
Designed to scale with your evolving bandwidth requirements, Verizon’s Ethernet services deliver access to corporate networks, the Internet, and network-based applications. Our Ethernet solutions utilize a high-speed, fiber-based network to provide high-quality WAN/LAN connectivity between your organization’s locations. You will also be able to prioritize critical segments of IP traffic over less-critical traffic for more efficient data delivery.
Overview
Efficient, Reliable, Scalable Connectivity Between LANs
Verizon Ethernet’s all-fiber network can increase the speed and efficiency for data transmissions; speeds range from 1 Mbps to 1,000 Mbps (GigE). With the ability to prioritize the delivery of information—voice, video, or data transmissions—across locations on your network, Ethernet provides secure, reliable, and timely delivery of your vital data. In addition, the scalability of Verizon Ethernet solutions translates to an efficient and economical way for your business to manage network costs. As your business grows, your bandwidth capabilities can keep pace—just order the
bandwidth you need, when you need it.
With Verizon Ethernet you benefit from:
Scalable solutions and a wide variety of bandwidth options
Segmentation and prioritization of data
Support for hub-and-spoke, partially meshed, or fully meshed configurations
24x7 monitoring
Operational service-level agreements (SLAs)
Is Verizon Ethernet Right For You?
Verizon Ethernet services are an economical way to meet your business needs for data transport, especially if you need to efficiently move large packets of data between locations, while keeping your IT costs within budget. For example, consider a multi-site company that provides creative services for clients in the entertainment industry. The company needs to connect the LANs in all of its locations for efficient transfer of large data packets like multimedia files and high-resolution graphic images. The organization would also like to prioritize delivery of those data packets
over less-critical traffic like web and e-mail data to avoid delays. Verizon Ethernet would be an ideal solution.
Features
Why Verizon Ethernet?
Verizon Ethernet allows you to design and configure your network, choosing how to connect your different LAN locations based on your business and bandwidth needs. For example, you can create your own path to convergence on your own timeline.
Other benefits include:
Prioritization of data transmissions by segmenting vital from nonessential data, assigning differing classes of service (Basic, Priority Data, or Real Time)
Support for multiple network configurations: hub-and-spoke, point-to-point, partially meshed, or fully meshed

Compatibility
Virtually every computer today—desktop or laptop—includes an Ethernet connection, and most LANs use Ethernet technology. Verizon Ethernet is MEF-certified, meeting industry standards for carrier-grade Ethernet interoperability standards.
Scalability
Get just what you need, just when you need it. Scale incrementally, with a wide variety of Ethernet virtual connection (EVC) bandwidth options. You purchase only the bandwidth you need. And Verizon
LAN Improvements
Your satellite locations can connect back to headquarters to access your corporate network, the Internet, and network-based applications, all at fast LAN Ethernet speeds (10 Mbps, 100 Mbps, and 1,000 Mbps). Verizon Ethernet services allow you to deliver voice and data across the country, so employees at one location can easily communicate with other locations within your organization, with speed and reliability.
Your LAN routers can connect you directly to the end user of your choice on your Ethernet network.

Flexible Ethernet Solutions
Verizon offers several different Ethernet options tailored to your business needs:

Ethernet Virtual Private Line
Ethernet Private Line
Ethernet LAN
If your business requires sites to be interconnected and able to move large amounts of data quickly among locations, Ethernet LAN (E-LAN) service will fit the bill. E-LAN offers full port speed (10 Mbps, 100 Mbps, or 1 Gbps) with standard and real-time class-of-service (CoS) options, and is ideal for intra-company voice and LAN-to-LAN data applications. E-LAN utilizes an all-fiber network and fast Ethernet speeds to efficiently connect your organization.
Ethernet Virtual Private Line
Verizon Ethernet Virtual Private Line (EVPL) gives you high-speed, point-to-point connectivity—economically and without compromising speed or reliability. EVPL is an all fiber-optic network service connecting your locations in a configuration that you help design. Your private network connections are provided via EVCs within the Verizon Ethernet Platform. In addition, EVPL:
Supports multiple Ethernet connections in multiple configurations, so your network is supported however your business offices are located—centrally or with remote sites
Offers a wide variety of bandwidth options, so you can scale incrementally as needed
Provides three metro CoS options: Basic, Priority Data, and Real Time
Ethernet Private Line
Verizon Ethernet Private Line (EPL) is a high-bandwidth transport service which permits you to connect two of your locations to transport data at speeds from 10 Mbps all the way up to 1,000 Mbps (GigE). EPL delivers you a secure and dedicated end-to-end LAN interconnectivity solution, and offers:
Carrier-grade, reliable, high-bandwidth data-center connectivity for business-continuity and disaster-recovery solutions
Dedicated, fully managed service from a single source with an extensive nationwide presence
Metro LAN and WAN connectivity for point-to-point high-speed transport
Speeds from 10 Mbps to full-rate gigabit for metro and national applications
