AUGUST 2021 BUCKEYE BREEZE

Dear Sisters,

Would love to thank all of you for always being there when I needed you. After State Convention I visited Maumee #2562 to give our grandfather his plaque, shirt and pin from State Convention since he wasn’t present. Walt Miller was so excited and also saw two new Auxiliary Sisters initiated at Maumee. On to Ashland #2178 to visit and thank Deb Davis and Janet Hoffman for helping Dave and I for the party room. Traveled to District #23 to get with the Auxiliary and talked to the District Leader Cindy Hoge and let them know and understand about my charity Autism.

I just want you Sisters to know I changed a few things up this year. I wanted to talk to the District Leaders and Zone Coordinators personally. We need more communication every once in a while, that’s why letters weren’t mailed out. We are going to be busy this year getting new Sacred Buffalos (members) and keeping our Drummers (current members).

Getting ready for Grand Convention in Phoenix, Arizona, where I am going to carry the Ohio State Flag proudly to represent Ohio. Wow! Such an honor! You could never imagine the feeling! I just want to thank the Trustees for my beautiful corsage they presented to me before Leisa and I walked down with the Flag.

Ladies, if you hold any functions and you want me to be there, just let me and Debbie know. I will try to make it. Hope everyone gets home safe. I will see you down the Eagle Trail—might pop in for a visit.

Was so happy to install our own District Auxiliary #22 Officers and was so proud when I was asked.

We need to get our Hunting Grounds (Districts) to bring in the Sacred Buffalo (new members) and keep our Drummers (current members) beating on the drums to bring them in. Our Warriors (District Leaders) need to get out there and promote membership and welcome in our new Buffalos. Just enjoy the year!

I am going to love serving with all the past and present officers. Not only were/are they great officers, but they are also my friends. Love you all! My husband, Kenny, and my family are my backbone. You are all so special to me.

The Campaign this month is “Join the Hunt for the Sacred Buffalo”. See you all soon. Love you all.

A BIG THANK YOU FROM THE HEART To all the volunteers who made my time as the Chairman of the Bazaar Table for Diabetes at State Convention a

delight and proud to be an Eagle. I would personally like to thank the ladies that made my part of working the table easy and so much fun to be with each and every day.

On a personal note: A very big thank you for those who sent cards and prayers for my speedy recovery. It has given me the strength to get through this trying time in my life. I hope everyone is staying safe through this time in our lives.

God Bless.

Your Sister Betty Sharp

A Special Thank You.

From the Past State Moms and Grandmas, we would like to thank all who participated in this year’s raffle table to help raise money for our group. This money is used to make Memorial Charity donations if a Past State President or one of our Moms or Grandmas pass away.

To each of you that brought a gift to raffle, helped Sadie at the table or spent your hard-earned money to buy tickets we really appreciate all of you. We hope all the winners enjoyed their gifts and we look forward to seeing you all again next year.

Fraternally,

Sadie Byrd – President Carla Carter – Sec./Tres.

Sisters, District Meetings have started once again. Don’t forget you need to have your nominations and, if needed, election. Some Districts have decided to keep the same District Officers as last year, and that is ok. You just need to go through the nomination process and install the officers to make it legal. Be sure to notify all the Auxiliaries in your District when your meetings are being held and when nominations are.

Don’t forget your Zone Conferences coming up in October!

NWZ – Ashland #2178, October 15-17 NEZ – Akron #555 – October 8-10 CZ – New Boston #2271 – October 8-10 SEZ – Uhrichsville #2264 – October 8-10

been paid. If you have any questions, contact State Secretary
