Elevator pitch

With a common SMART software platform, teaching and learning can flexibly move between individual and small group learning with mobile devices, to whole-class collaboration with the SMART Board and displays so

educators and students can personalize teaching and learning anywhere, anytime.

Market need

• Districts need to equip students with computers. With tight budgets and BYOD programs, mobile devices, like iPads and Android tablets, are computing devices that districts and parents cannot only afford but that are intuitive for students to use. Most mobile devices have lower entry prices compared to a full laptop, perform better than a netbook, and are more engaging to use because of the touch

interactivity they typically provide.

• Districts need to invest in solutions that meet the diverse needs of all students to truly enable personalized learning. Educators seek solutions that promote student-centered learning, enable personalized and collaborative learning in multi-platform environments (ie. Windows OS, Mac OS and Mac iOS, and Android environments).

• Districts need to equip classrooms to support flexible learning environments including whole class, small group, and individual learning inside the classroom and online. Mobile devices, when used with SMART software, enables students and teachers to use the same file format and move between using an mobile
