Park Machine Safely

Before working on the machine:

Lower all equipment to the ground.

Stop the engine and remove the key.

Disconnect the battery ground strap.

Hang a "DO NOT OPERATE" tag in operator station.

Assembly and Installation of Subcomponents

Downforce Bracket Assembly

1. Attach left side cylinder mounting bracket (B) to downforce bracket (A) using cap screw (C) and nut (D).

2. Attach right side cylinder mounting bracket (G) to downforce bracket (A) using cap screw (C) and nut (D).

3. Install cap screw (E) and nut (F) to both left and right side cylinder mounting brackets.

4. Tighten all cap screws to specification.

Downforce Bracket Installation

IMPORTANT: Verify that drawbar support bracket is installed on tractor. Damage can occur to the downforce cylinder if drawbar support bracket is not installed.

1. Remove quick lock pin (A), drilled pin (B), and drawbar (C).

2. Support the drawbar hitch (E) with a suitable lifting device and remove cap screws (D).

3. With a suitable lifting device, position downforce bracket (F) on the drawbar hitch.

4. Install cap screws (G). Tighten to specification.

Specification

Cap Screw—Torque... 205 N·m (151 lb.-ft.)

Downforce Valve Assembly

NOTE: Secure valve while assembling the fittings.

1. Remove dust plugs (A) from downforce valve (B).

NOTE: Lubricate O-rings prior to assembly.

2. Insert T-fitting with O-ring (C) onto downforce valve, position as shown. Tighten to specification.

Specification

T-Fitting—Torque... 37 N·m (27 lb.-ft.)

3. Insert adapter fitting with O-ring (D) onto downforce valve. Tighten to specification.

Specification

Adapter Fitting—Torque... 37 N·m (27 lb.-ft.)

4. Assemble swivel T-fitting with O-ring (E) as shown onto adapter fitting with O-ring (D). Tighten to specification.

Specification Swivel T-Fit-

ting—Torque... 24 N·m (18 lb.-ft.)

NOTE: Open station models—reorient solenoid (F) by rotating it 90° (cable mounting towards fitting side).

Downforce Valve Installation

1. Remove cap screw (A) and washer from rockshaft.

NOTE: Lubricate O-ring using hydraulic oil or equivalent.

2. Install O-ring (B) on downforce valve (C).

NOTE: Ensure valve mounting holes are free from rust, paint and other debris.

3. Position downforce valve on rockshaft and install cap screws (D). Tighten to specification.

Specification

Cap Screw—Torque... 37 N·m (27 lb.-ft.)

Downforce Hydraulic Cylinder Assembly

1. Apply Loctite® 243 or equivalent to ball joint threads.

Thread ball joint (A) to hydraulic cylinder (B).

2. Hold cylinder rod flat spot (C) with a wrench while turning ball joint at flat spot (D) to tighten. Ensure no gap exists between cylinder rod and ball joint after tightening.

3. Repeat for other hydraulic cylinder.

Downforce Hydraulic Cylinder Installation

IMPORTANT: Avoid damage to downforce cylinder due to improperly torqued cylinder mounting bolts. Cylinder mounting bolt threads and contact surfaces along with the mounting bolt holes and contact surfaces must be free from rust, paint and other debris. Mounting bolts must be installed in rockshaft lift arms dry to obtain proper torque.

1. Clean cylinder mounting bolts (A) and cylinder mounting bolt holes thoroughly and verify they are completely dry prior to installation.

2. Install cylinder mounting bolts (A) on rockshaft lift arms (B). Tighten to specification.

Specification Cylinder Mounting

Bolt—Torque (dry)...155 + - 20% N·m (107 lb.-ft.)

NOTE: Hydraulic cylinder fittings (D) must be facing rearward as shown.

NOTE: Ensure no gap exists between cylinder pin and lift arm after tightening.

3. Slide hydraulic cylinders (C) on cylinder mounting bolts.

4. Install quick lock pins (E).

5. Position bushings (F) between hydraulic cylinders (C) and cylinder mounts while inserting cylinder mounting pins (G).

6. Install quick lock pins (H) as shown.

1. Remove knockout (A) on right side console (B).

2. Remove cap screws (C) and nuts.

3. Raise right side console.

4. Insert downforce switch (E) and attach connector (D).

5. Install right side console.

Installation of Rockshaft Hose

1. Carefully position rockshaft hydraulic hose (A) as shown.

2. Attach hydraulic connector (C) to downforce valve (B).

3. Attach hydraulic connector (D) to charge filter oil line (E).

4. Tighten hydraulic connector (C) to specification.

Specification Hydraulic

Connector—Torque... 24 N·m (18 lb.-ft.)

5. Tighten hydraulic connector (D) to specification.

Connector—Torque... 50 N·m (37 lb.-ft.)

6. Secure rockshaft hydraulic hose (A) to oil line (G) using tie bands (F) as shown.

NOTE: Ensure hoses are routed away from the moving parts.

Installation of Right Side Hydraulic Hoses

1. Carefully position right side hydraulic outlet hose (A) as shown.

2. Attach right side hydraulic outlet hose (A) to adapter fitting with O-ring (B) on downforce valve (C). Tighten to specification

7. Attach right side hydraulic inlet hose (C) to upper hydraulic cylinder fitting. Tighten to specification.

8. Attach right side hydraulic outlet hose (D) to right side hydraulic cylinder (B) using hose clamp (E).

9. Position tie bands (F) as shown on harness sleeve (G) and tighten as needed.

Installation of Left Side Hydraulic Hoses

NOTE: Lubricate O-ring and install into groove using petroleum jelly to hold in place.

1. Install O-ring (A) on the upper fitting on left side hydraulic cylinder (C).

2. Attach 90° swivel fitting (B). Tighten to specification.

Specification 90° Swivel

Fitting—Torque... 24 N·m (18 lb.-ft.)

3. Attach left side hydraulic inlet hose (A) to the swivel T-fitting (B).

4. Attach left side hydraulic inlet hose (A) to the 90°

fitting (C) on the left side hydraulic cylinder. Tighten to specification.

Specification

90° Fitting—Torque... 24 N·m (18 lb.-ft.)

5. Attach left side hydraulic outlet hose (D) to adapter fitting (E) as shown. Tighten to specification.

Specification

Adapter Fitting—Torque... 16 N·m (12 lb.-ft.)

6. Attach left side hydraulic outlet hose (D) to left side hydraulic cylinder using hose clamp (F).

Final Assembly

NOTE: Open Operator Station wiring harness kit (LVA19471) is required if load center kit (BLV10456) is not installed.

Cab wiring harness kit (LVA19473) is required if load center kit (BLV10457) is not installed.

1. Connect the 12-pin connector (A) to the right side fender wiring harness connector (B).

2. Connect the 2-pin connector (C) to the downforce valve (D).

3. Install rear wheel. Tighten lug bolts to specification.

Specification

Lug Bolt—Torque... 140 N·m (103 lb.-ft.)

4. Install drawbar.

Downforce bracket, downforce cylinders, and hoses need to be disassembled and downforce ports (A) capped with detent plugs (B). Tighten to specification.

Verify Proper Operation

1. Start tractor and raise three point implement.
