With the MBA Global Leadership – Executive blended learning you gain wider and more in-depth knowledge and skills in the field of business administration as a manager. This flexible English-language based MBA is based on a new concept of learning: studying 2.0. In this new learning concept, online learning is combined with a great deal of attention to the development of personal skills, in a unique Skills & Personal Development module developed by the specialists at Schouten & Nelissen. The study has a clearly international focus and includes study weeks in Cambridge and Shanghai.

Results

After the MBA Global Leadership: blended learning:

Target group

• you are a manager or a professional

• with at least seven years’ relevant work experience

• and at least a higher professional education diploma

Course content

The study consists of modules focused on apply- ing knowledge in the fields of strategy, organisation science, marketing, HRM, finance, innovation and globalisation. These modules are alternated with practical tasks in the context of personal development and developing skills.

In addition, several regular themes have been inte- grated into the study and act as learning continuity pathways:

• Business Ethics & Sustainability

• Technology and Information

• Research Methodology/Critical Thinking.

As these subjects are an integral part of 21st-century business, they are not taught as isolated subjects but will recur in various modules throughout the study.

The Master of Business Administration has a modular concept, which means that all modules can also be taken separately.

Maximum support

During your study, you will receive active support and guidance from a team of specialists, including:

• a mentor

• A personal mentor is assigned to you to provide you with guidance and encouragement. You can turn to your mentor if you have practical questions about the study.

• a tutor

• The tutor is the specialist. As an online teacher the tutor quickly responds to al your questions and gives advice and insights. Your tutor also provides quick, substantial feedback on your papers and assignments.

• an e-Coach

• The e-Coach is a professional trainer-coach who gives you advice and support in the Skills & Perso

nal Development module.

• a business coach

• The MBA programme also has a business coach.

This business coach gives you advice from his own working environment and gives you additional feedback on your development. Besides, the coach helps you find relevant cases that add a good deal to the depth and richness of your study and may help your organisation move ahead.

Accreditation and recognition

The MBA programme has been developed in col- laboration with Anglia Ruskin University in Cam- bridge (United Kingdom). If you complete your study programme successfully, you will receive a prestigious, internationally acknowledged English Master’s degree.

Setup and duration

The duration of this master is flexible: the pace of the study programme is for you to decide. The nominal duration of the study, which starts with a goal-setting interview and consists of 12 modules and 1 study week, is 2.5 years. In this interview with your mentor, your background, your motivation and the mutual expectations are discussed. Together you formulate learning targets and you discuss, if so desired, the pos- sibilities of the study path you want to take.

In an interview by telephone with your mentor, your background, your motivation and the mutual ex- pectations are discussed. Considering your learning targets, the mentor checks if you have chosen the right study programme.

Diploma

When you have completed all modules and the thesis successfully, you will receive the officially recognised Master of Business Administration diploma. The as- sessment is based on an assignment portfolio, with the final assignment for the module weighing heavily.

The assignments provide an opportunity for you to apply the learning matter in your own practice. A knowledge test can be part of the assignment port- folio.

Investment

Master

Your investment in this master amounts to €18,900.

This sum is exempt from VAT. The prices stated can be subject to changes. You will receive international litera- ture per module. In two modules, you will participate in online simulations. The costs of all compulsory literature, simulations and access to an online library are included in the price of the study programme.

The travelling and package costs (accommodation and meals) for the two study weeks are not included in the price. These costs are therefore not stated on our invoice.

Possibly, you can charge these costs to your employer separately.

After your registration

Testing against admission requirements

After we have received your registration form, we will send you a placement letter, in which you are invited to send us your CV and copies of relevant diplomas.

On the basis of these documents we will test if you meet the admission requirements for this master (module).

If you do not meet these admission requirements, an admission investigation will be started. This procedure is used to assess the Competencies Acquired Else- where you have according to your CV. Possibly, you will be invited for an interview or an assessment. If it is borne out that you have the right competencies, you will be admitted.

Upon admission, your mentor will contact you by phone to make an appointment for a goal-setting interview. In this interview, we will ensure together with you that our mutual expectations and points of departure are geared to one another. You will choose a specialist programme and prepare a personal study plan, so as to be certain that this master (module) is the right study programme for you and that you can achieve your goals. In the interview, your exemptions can be discussed as well.

Definitive placement

After the goal-setting interview has taken place, you will receive a letter of confirmation. In this letter, you will find detailed information about the master (mo- dule) you are going to take. You will also receive an invoice for the tuition fee and your login data for our digital learning environment.

Taking the master (module)

You attend the lectures of the module(s), you do your homework assignments in between, you complete the module(s) with a test, and you finish the master with a thesis.

Digital learning environment

The master (module) is supported by the digital learning environment of the Schouten & Nelissen Group. In this learning environment, you can find the objectives per seminar, the updated schedule, recent articles etc. Here, you can also keep in touch and work together with your teachers and fellow students.
