2016 Scholarship Application Guidelines
The 2016 Coastal Baldwin Educational Enrichment Foundation (CBEE) scholarship application is open to all graduating seniors of Gulf Shores High School. The application is used for multiple scholarships. Any student wishing to apply for one or more of these scholarships should complete the application only once. Applications will be distributed to ALL appropriate committees for consideration.
The following scholarships are administered by CBEE:
Coastal Baldwin Educational Enrichment Foundation General Scholarship $1,000.00
o Open to graduating seniors pursuing higher education o Awarded to 10 recipients
o One-time; non-renewable
Camille Schroeder Fine Arts Scholarship $2,500.00
o Open to graduating seniors pursuing a degree in the Arts (Visual, Literary, or Performing Arts)
o Awarded to 2 recipients o One-time; non-renewable
Alabama International Piano Competition Scholarship $1,000.00
o Open to graduating seniors pursuing a degree in Music o Awarded to 1 recipient
o One-time; non-renewable
Mojo’s Culinary Scholarship $2,500.00
o Open to graduating seniors pursuing a degree in Hospitality, Tourism or Culinary Arts
o Awarded to 2 recipients o One-time; non-renewable
Jensen’s Heart of Gold Foundation Scholarship $1,000.00
o Open to graduating seniors pursuing a degree in Medicine o Awarded to 1 recipient
o One-time; non-renewable o 3.0 or higher GPA required
Anne Reese Grote Memorial Scholarship (Given by the Pleasure Island Junior Women’s Club) $1,500.00 o Open to graduating seniors pursuing a degree in service to the community through
education, medicine, social work or similar o Awarded to 1 recipient
o One-time; non-renewable
o Recipient must show evidence of positive influence on his or her peers and the general population through aid and involvement
Wheeles Karate Academy Scholarship $1,000.00
o Open to graduating seniors pursuing a degree in Sports Medicine or a Physical Education field
o Awarded to 1 recipient o One-time; non-renewable o 3.0 or higher GPA required
Erie Hall Meyer Foundation Educators Scholarship up to $15,000.00
o Open to graduating seniors pursuing a degree in Education o Awarded to 1 recipient
o 4 year renewable
o Attending a public college or university in the State of Alabama
An interview may be requested by the committee. Applicants will be notified in the event of an interview for any of the above scholarships. The application should be completed in full and returned to Coastal Baldwin Educational Enrichment Foundation no later than February 19, 2016.
