How to use this guide
We believe in making life as simple as possible for you.
That’s why we’ve put together this guide to explain how to use your
call features. So you can easily add the features you want, like Call
Barring, Call Diversion, and Anonymous Call Reject.

Permanent Number Hold
This feature allows you to withhold your number when you dial out. If you wish to release your number on a call by call basis, just dial 1470 before you dial out.
Temporary Number Hold – 141
Want to temporarily withhold your number when making a call? Dial 141 before the destination number. You do not need to contact us to activate this service.

*A charge will be appled when you press 3 to return a call. Information on our charges can be found on our website.
The charge for the call will be at the normal rates.
Reminder Call
Book an alarm call. Ask your phone to ring you at a set time.
How to set a call Press 55 time [24hour] . Use the 24 hour clock for example 8.30am is 0830 and 2.30pm is 1430.

If you have any messages you will hear an interrupted dial tone when you pick up your phone.

Call Sign
You can have another number which will have a different ring tone. You can give this number to an elderly relative so you know when they are calling you – or you can use it for your teenager’s friends so you know when the call is for them.
Ringback
Know when an engaged number is free.
Your phone will ring you when the number you dialled becomes available.
Ring back will try the engaged number for up to 45 minutes.
How to set up Press 5 when you hear the
engaged tone wait for the confirmation message then put your handset down.
Answering a ring back Pick up the phone when you hear the special ring – remember you dialled out.

Ring back is not available for calls to international destinations, ISDN lines and some multi-line switchboards.
3 Way Calling
Chat to two friends at the same time
How to set up Dial the first number, Press Recall, wait for a dial tone, then dial the second phone number and wait for an answer. To talk to the two callers at the same time press Recall 3. To talk to two callers individually press Recall 2. To switch between the two callers, press Recall, wait for the dial tone, then Press 2.
How to end the first call only Press Recall wait for dial tone Press 5 How to end the second call only Press Recall wait for dial tone Press 7

Divert your calls to another phone.
Codes to divert calls 21 divert all calls

If used in conjunction with Call Barring, switch on Call Diversion first.

Smart Divert
Call Diversion with Remote Control. It allows you to control your call diversion from any other phone, all you need is an access number and a pin. Your calls can be diverted to anywhere in the UK, to a mobile and most overseas destinations.

Smart Divert with Bypass number
We will give you another number to ensure only selected callers are received on the originally dialled number, even when calls have been diverted. You will be able to give the additional number to callers which will then bypass the diversion and come through to your original number.
Call Minder
Pick up your messages from any phone anywhere.
To access from your phone Press 1571 To listen to your messages Press 1 To change your personal options Press 2
To access from another phone Dial you own phone number when you hear the call minder greeting enter your PIN number Personal options you can change are:
• how many times the phone rings before answering
• record your own greeting message
• change your PIN Call Minder Premier 5+2
Up to 7 separate mailboxes per line which can be assigned to individual family members. Each person will have their own PIN number to access their mailbox.
Call Waiting
Gently beeps to let you know when someone is trying to get through when you are on another call. You can either put the first caller on hold and speak to the second caller, and/or your first call and speak to the second caller.
How to switch on Press 43 Speaking to your 2nd caller Press Recall
Returning to your 1st caller Press Recall. Then just hang up when you have finished your call.

Caller Display
With the appropriate phone this tool allows you to see who is calling you as the phone is ringing. In some circumstances the number is unavailable to display, for example if the caller withholds their number.
Call Barring
Lets you control the calls that can be made and received from your phone.
Codes to bar different call types
1 Bars almost all calls, cancelling this option will cancel any other call barring options 2 Bars national, international calls and calls to mobiles
3 Bars international calls
4 Bars all operator connected calls including SMS text messages 5 Bars calls to any number with a * or # in them
6 Not in use
7 Bars Premium rate calls
How to bar outgoing calls Press 34 code
For example 347 will bar premium rate calls
To cancel Press 34 code PIN
For example 347 your PIN number will cancel the call barring on premium rate calls

Choose to Refuse
You can choose who you speak to. Put a stop to unwanted calls by preventing them getting through to you. You can block up to 10 numbers. Callers whose calls are rejected will hear an announcement stating their call has not been accepted.
How to bar the last call you answered
Dial 14258 you will be asked to Press to confirm you want to stop calls from that number being received. This number will then be barred in future.
How to add or delete numbers from your barred list and change your PIN Dial 14258 and enter your PIN, you will then be given a few options:
– To add a number to Choose to Refuse
Enter the phone number you wish to bar, including the area STD code, Press at the end of the number.
– To review your barred calls list
This option will tell you the numbers and date they were barred, it will also allow you to delete a number from your barred list.
To change your PIN
Select this option to change your PIN. Some numbers are not allowed if they are in obvious patterns such as 3333 or 1234.
Anonymous Call Reject
You can choose not to receive calls from people who withhold their number.
