LGfL Email Introduction

LGfL Email is a web-based email system that allows you to write, send, receive, delete, forward, and find email. It has been developed with the help and advice of Lancashire schools and can be accessed with a user ID and password. Users who access their LGfL email through Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express will see no change to their email system at all and will be able to continue to use their email system as normal.

Those users who access their email via the LGfL (SunMail) web interface will find their usernames and passwords will remain the same for the LGfL Email system. These users will find a much improved and more intuitive system. LGfL Email has many other benefits including:

• a spell check facility

• automatically virus scanning emails • a comprehensive online help feature.

Additional features of the new email system will be launched over the next few months including access to email from home and the ability for schools to create, delete and suspend individual email user accounts. Users will also see a different login screen. The following pages will help you become accustomed to using the new system. Logging on

Go to the LGfL home page (http://www.lancsngfl.ac.uk) and click on the “Email
