electrical experience

Why take this course?

PAT testing is one of our most popular courses. It is a great way of streaming another source of revenue and will enable you to offer another service to your customers.

Is this PAT course right for me?

PAT testing is a skill that can be learned by almost anyone such as office maintenance staff or landlords. Some basic electrical knowledge is useful but not essential.

In a commercial environment, regulations insist that every item of electrical equipment is tested and certified as being safe to use. For electrical contractors this can be seen as a potentially lucrative new service to add - and one that is required by industry at all levels.

City & Guilds 2377-22 Course Content:

This course enables you to undertake PAT testing training and manage the testing process.

For this course option, you will take the City & Guilds 2377-22 Operators Registration and Examination. If you also want to take the City & Guilds 2377-32 Management Qualification you should book this PAT course.

Every item of electrical equipment in a commercial environment is required to be PAT tested, that is it has been tested as being safe to use and has been marked safe, whether it be a kettle, toaster or computer.

This two day ‘practical’ workshops cover everything necessary to successfully achieve the City and Guilds certification.

The course includes both a theory element and practical elements. We take you through the practical disciplines and formal recording processes, as well as preparing you for the online City and Guilds 2377 test.

Regulations, 17th Edition) (ISBN: 978-086341-854-9)

Why take this course?

Your installation can be superb, but if the paperwork’s incorrect it leaves you open to the accusation the installation was not compliant to regulations, so the paperwork is just as important and you’re not alone, many contractors are weak in this area and given the many differing versions, is it a wonder? Certificates and report books are confusing and certainly wouldn’t win any plain writing awards, but don’t worry, we have the solution, this course will help you do it right, we’re experts at paperwork!

We understand the importance of making the right decision when it comes to your career and what better way to stay informed than an electrical apprenticeship taster training course that enables you to get to grips with electrics and learning the basics of the job.

Young people are not often shown the true potential of what an apprenticeship could offer them. In economic climates like today, apprenticeships offer theory and practical knowledge and a valuable NVQ qualification. An important point to note though is that over 3/4 years of training an electrical apprentice will EARN just under £60,000 rather than leave with £18,000 + DEBT of university and with the raise in university tuition fees there has never been a better time to consider an apprenticeship.

What we aim to cover during the taster course:

• Introduction to Electrics • Introduction to Apprenticeships • Funding and Other Payment Options • Career Opportunities

• One to One Tutorial: Personal Development Plan

• Guide to looking for an Employer • Large Range of Practical Workshops • Online Suitability Apprenticeship Test • and much more....

Dates & Availability

We aim to hold one at least once or twice a year but will usually hold these based on demand. So if you haven’t seen a date you like or know a couple of friends who would like to attend this course with you, give us a call because we’re likely to put a date on just for you.

We can hold these in conjunction with schools and colleges too so if you think a taster course like this would be beneficial for your students, get in contact as we can arrange a bespoke course for you.
