RN– HELICOPTER

Life Link III is a comprehensive medical transport system, CAMTS certified. We provide transport for patients in Minnesota and throughout the United States. We are a non-profit consortium and members include:

Allina Hospitals and Clinics, Children’s Hospitals and Clinics, Fairview Health Services, Hennepin County Medical Center, Regions Hospital, Sacred Heart Hospital,( Eau Claire, WI ) and St. Cloud Hospital/CentraCare Health System.

Life Link III’s helicopter service provides on-scene emergency response and inter-facility transport. Our helicopters are equipped to handle any type of critically ill or injured patient. Flight crews consist of highly-qualified nurses and paramedics, specially trained in critical care, along with experienced EMS pilots.

Life Link III provides Special Transportation (Wheelchair), Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Critical Care inter-facility transport. Our ground operations are based in Minneapolis, MN, with a 911 base in St. Croix Falls, WI. Helicopters are based in St. Cloud, Hutchinson and Eden Prairie, MN; Rice Lake, and New Richmond, WI.

We have fulltime, part-time and casual positions available. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Current MN and WI RN license (both required at time of hire).

• Current Certifications: ACLS; BCLS; PALS or ENPC; BTLS, TNCC, FNATC or ATLS. • NRP preferred.

• Three years experience adult ICU, CCU, or ED. • Valid driver's license.

• Two years driving experience.

• Must pass mandatory post-offer drug/physical agility/background/criminal record screening tests. • Clinician must weigh 220 pounds or less (including gear).

Patient care teams consist of Registered Nurses, Paramedics and EMTs; care teams are configured based on the needs of each patient. Our ground operations are based in Minneapolis, MN, with a 911 base in St. Croix Falls, WI, and five helicopter bases located throughout Minnesota and western Wisconsin.

We are seeking full-time EMTs to work at our Minneapolis location.

0.9 FTE, 36 hours/wk, 8 and 12 hour shifts, benefits eligible, union, $12.40 starting pay Minimum Qualifications

• Current MN and WI EMT certification (both required at time of hire). • Current BCLS Certification.

• Valid driver’s license. • 2 years driving experience.

• Must pass mandatory post-offer drug/physical agility/background/criminal record screening tests.

COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST (DISPATCH)

We have full-time and part-time positions available in our Communications Center at Minneapolis. Full-time 40 hrs/wk, 1.0 FTE, contract; Part-time 24 hrs/wk, 0.6 FTE, contract.

As a Communications Specialist, primary duties and responsibilities include the following, however, other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

• Receive incoming telephone and radio requests for service and information.

• Activate all Life Link III missions; fixed wing, rotor wing, ground and in-hospital assistance. • Maintain radio communications and flight following activities.

• Operate all communications equipment, including radio and telephone systems.

• Maintain effective communications between agency/requestor, flight and ground personnel and receiving facility. • Maintain an accurate, detailed log of all transport activity.

• Coordinate requests and schedule all pre-planned medical missions with sending and receiving facilities and support agencies.

• Direct to, or arrange for, service of other aircraft or EMS agency.

• Implement proper procedures for notification of Life Link III administrative personnel and aircraft vendor in the event of problems, incidents, or accidents.

Requirements

• Current EMT or higher level of medical certification/licensure; • Previous dispatching experience;

• Strong comprehension of medical terminology;

• Strong human relation skills and the ability to function calmly under high pressure situations; • Previous experience with computers and multi-phone line environment preferred;

• Must pass mandatory post-offer drug/physical agility/background/criminal record screening tests.

Driver- Wheelchair Van

Link III is a comprehensive medical transport system, CAMTS certified. We provide Special Transportation (Wheelchair), Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Critical Care inter-facility transport for patients in Minnesota and throughout the United States via ground, helicopter and fixed wing ambulance. Life Link III’s ground operations are based in Minneapolis, along with helicopter bases throughout Minnesota and western Wisconsin.

The Special Transport Technician is responsible for the direct and safe wheelchair transportation of patients (and their belongings) to and from hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and private residences by the use of a transport van. A lot of the transports are wheelchair bound clients, though assistance in transfers may be needed in to/out of the wheelchair and/or passenger seat/bench of the van, and walking up/down stairs with patients. Lift/maneuver patients while in wheelchairs in order to position and tie down wheels. Wheelchairs are “lifted” up/down stairs as well. Be able to lift and carry 50 pounds or more occasionally.

We have fulltime positions available–1.0 FTE, 40 hrs/wk, 8 to 12 hour shifts, Monday-Sunday, no overnight hours; contract, benefits eligible, $10.43/hr.
