WebOodi code: 770075

Unit description: The aim of the unit is to familiarize the student with working in public administration, non-governmental organizations, or in the private sector. The students search and find their traineeship place on their own.

Information on vacant training placements can be searched for at the web page of the career services of University of Helsinki: http://www.helsinki.fi/urapalvelut/english/. The department has annually a limited number of grants sponsored by the university. In case there are more applicants than the number of grants, the students are selected by lottery.

(6)

Students may also apply for an Erasmus grant for traineeship in other European countries. The Erasmus office of the university gives more information about these grants and the application process.

In the required written report, the students are expected to write about their work experiences from a critical point of view.
