Huron Regional Medical Center is currently seeking hard-working, self-motivated applicants for a full-time position.

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

Position Description:

The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist performs anesthesia management of patients undergoing surgical, diagnostic or therapeutic procedures and airway management or cardiopulmonary resuscitation in collaboration with physicians and other Licensed Professionals. Administers epidural medication for pain management as ordered by the physician. Performs only those services allowed by South Dakota law. A Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist is available on site from approximately 0700-1500 M-F and shares a rotation of on-call shifts 24 hours a day.

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited registered nurse anesthetist program approved by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists. Licensed and currently registered as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist in the State of South Dakota.

THE HOSPITAL:

Huron Regional Medical Center (HRMC) is a state-accredited, non-profit, critical access acute care facility serving a population of approximately 43,000 in a seven-county area. There are 16 Huron-based physicians on staff providing a broad range of medical and surgical specialties. As one of the top employers in the community, HRMC has more than 300 employees.

HRMC is well equipped and progressive in its approach to providing modern health care with a caring, compassionate touch. It is a regional renal dialysis center and regional referral center for specialty physician services. HRMC offers the latest in high-tech service through its state of the art equipment.

It provides clinical affiliation for several educational programs preparing healthcare professionals.

THE CITY: (More information is available at www.huronsd.com or 1-800-HURON,SD) Huron is a very clean city of approximately 12,000 residents and home to the South Dakota State Fair. The community has an active cultural program with a community theatre group, civic concert series, community chorus, city band and a city symphony orchestra. The city boasts a fine public library, beautiful parks and an environment that would be considered crime-free in many areas of the country.

Year-round sporting activities include coed volleyball, basketball, softball, baseball, three golf courses, cross-country skiing, ice skating, indoor hockey, hunting and fishing.

Educational facilities include an excellent public school system with modern facilities and strong academic and sports programs.

Huron is located 120 miles northwest of Sioux Falls, a city with a population of 124,000; 300 miles east of Rapid City and the Black Hills area; and 300 miles from Minneapolis/St. Paul. All but a few miles of the highway to Sioux Falls and to Rapid City are four lanes. Daily air service from Huron Regional Airport is also available. Huron … where the pheasants are! Deer, duck and goose hunting are also popular around Huron. Fishing is excellent in the immediate area and within easy driving distance. Huron offers fishing along the James River and at Lake Byron, north of Huron. It is about 90 miles to the Missouri River for walleye, northern pike and Coho salmon fishing.

Employee pays 100%. Provides 24 hour protection against the loss of income resulting from a disability. Dental Insurance Employees regularly scheduled

to work 40 hours per pay period.

First of the month following one year of employment.

HRMC pays 100% of single coverage and 75% of family coverage.

Coverage for various dental procedures.

Vision Insurance Employees regularly scheduled to work 40 hours per pay period.

First of the month following 30 days of employment.

Employee pays 100%. Coverage for exams, lens, frames and contacts. Vision Benefit Employees regularly scheduled

After 1 year of employment. HRMC pays reimbursement amount that is determined annually.

Coverage for standard eye exam once every 24 months for one family member. Tax Deferred Annuity (TDA) All employees with regularly

scheduled hours.

Upon employment. Employee contributes 100%. Tax deferred retirement savings plan.

401(k) Roth 401(k)

Employees age 21 or older who have worked 1000 hours in a qualifying year.

Quarterly after meeting
