ISTORY
Since 1971, Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association has provided a statewide forum for criminal defense lawyers. TCDLA is the only voice in the legislature interested in basic fairness in criminal cases.
From its beginning as a small association of 260 members, to today with a full staff, offi cers, board members and more than 2,500 members, TCDLA has played an important role among criminal defense lawyers, providing assistance, support and continuing education.
TCDLA has developed a number of affi liations over the last few years which provided a presence and eagerness to help criminal defense lawyers across the state of Texas. TCDLA continues to foster these relationships and develop additional affi liations. As part of this association you share a voice with 2,500 like mind individuals in more than 150 counties across the state.
