Features
o Reads the following data from the drive (if available in the SRP software revision): i. Measured Surface and Downhole DynaCard Chart including Unit Rated Rod
Load.
ii. Measured Gearbox Torque Chart including Pump Direction and Unit Rated Torque Plots.
iii. Predicted Surface and Downhole DynaCards with Pump-Off (Fluid Pound) simulation.
iv. Reference Input Chart.
v. Gearbox Torque Chart including Measured Gearbox Torque, Counterbalance Assist Torque and As Balanced Torque Plots.
vi. Velocity Chart including Rod Velocity, Downhole Pump Velocity and Crank Velocity.
vii. Feature List that highlights the SRP Features that are currently enabled. viii. Valve Check Test plot.
ix. Stored DynaCard Plot. Visible only from BRD data file. x. Last Fault DynaCard Plot. Visible only from BRD data file. xi. Selected Input and Output Parameters.
o Imports archived WPR files for viewing. o Imports archived BRD files for viewing.
o Produces local Well Production Reports in about 40 seconds at 57,600 Baud. o Produces radio link Well Production Reports in about 60 seconds at 19,200 Baud. o One button operation. Simply connect the serial cable to the Drive and Click the
“Generate Report” Button.

System Requirements
o Unico ModbusOPCServer – Part #805-524.002 or greater or another compatible OPC Server.
o Microsoft Excel 2000 or greater.

Installation Instructions
o Ensure that UEdit is not open, or the serial port link is closed.
o Uninstall any previous version of Unico ModbusOPCServer 805-524 using
Add/Remove Programs from your computer’s Control Panel. Re-Boot the computer. o Install Unico ModbusOPCServer – Part #805-524.002. Browse for
CD_ROM_805525_014\1. Install OPC
Server\CD_ROM_805524_002\Install\setup.exe.
o Double click on the setup.exe file and follow the onscreen instructions.
o Install Well Report Generator 805525.014. Browse for CD_ROM_805525_014\2. Install WPR Generator\805525_014 Install\setup.exe.

o Choose Start: Programs: Modbus OPC Server: Modbus OPC Configurator. o Choose File: Open.
o Browse for 805525_014.mdb. This file will be in C:\Program Files\Unico, Inc\Unico SRP Well Report Generator folder.

o Expand Address Space.

Verifying Communication
o Insert the serial cable in the computer in the Comm Port specified above.
o Although any port on the drive may be used, the example provided here uses the AUX RS485 port at the middle right of the DSP.
o At the Drive, in the Comm Menu, set:
1. porta protocol = MODBUS RTU
2. porta address = address (minimum 1 and they must be unique for multiple drives.
3. porta baud rate = 57600 BAUD 4. porta parity = NONE

o If there is no value in the Value column, try different Comm Port Settings and Device addresses. As shown above.
o Once communications are verified, close the Modbus Configurator.

i. Start Microsoft Excel.

iii. Choose Medium. OK. (Once this is set, it remains in force) iv. Choose Enable Macros.

o Connect serial cable between the computer and comm port at the DSP. o In UEdit® Application:

o If the application supports the File On Demand Feature, there will be a Report Data volume in the left pane.
o Right click on WellReportData.brd and choose copy. o Save the file on the computer.
o Use the Import BRD button in Excel to view the file.

Programmability
o VBA Code is Write-protected to avoid accidental changes. Password to unlock = “OIL”
o XLS file has a read only attribute to avoid accidentally saving changes.
o Program currently reads all the items in the Network Map (uses the params array for 100MHz DSP), but doesn’t display them all.
o Program reads several arrays sufficient to plot charts. o Programmable to read any item in the Global Dictionary.
o Sample code SingleItemReadExample and SingleItemWriteExample shows how to
read any Dictionary Item. Simply copy, paste modify and uncomment the VBA code. Then include the new item(s) to the OPC Server List.
o UNICO.ModbusOPCServer that is included with this software supports all necessary operations (array/vector processing) to produce these reports via serial/radio

OPC Servers. This allows for the use of other OPC Servers that communication protocols or data transmission methods.

New and Improved Features in Revision 001
o Added SampleReadSingleItem VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) code. This code can be
copied, pasted, modified and uncommented to read any single Dictionary Item.
o Added SampleWriteSingleItem VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) code. This code can be
copied, pasted, modified and uncommented to write to any single Dictionary Item.
o Added VBA code that Auto-Scales the charts for any size well. This allows for appropriate
white space around the chart that is not too small or too large.
o Moved the Language translation code from the scattered places in the VBA code to its own
Language worksheet that now allows for easy addition of more languages simply by adding a new column.
o Removed the dependence on the UNICO.ModbusOPCServer to allow for the use of most
widely available OPC servers. The Device Control in the Toolbar is now user definable. Use of another server, other than the one provided, will support modem data transmission. Note: OPC Server must support Array(Vector) reads for the retrieval of the chart arrays.
o Added option to reset all meters after retrieval of the report. This resets the Cumulative
Statistics Section.
o Added more comments to the VBA code to better identify the purpose of the code.
