True Mud Pump Output

Mud Pump Liner Size: ______________Inches

Pump output @ 100%: ______________bbls/stk

If you had to work out the bbls/stk of a Triplex Mud Pump:

(Liner size

2

÷ 1029.42) x 3 = __________ bbls/stk @ 100%

Example: If you had 6” liners installed on a Triplex Mud Pump with a 12”

stroke. (6”x 6” ÷ 1029.42) x 3 = 0.10491 bbls/stk @ 100%

If you’re using 97% it would be 0.10491 x 97% = 0.10176 bbls/stk.

To work out the Time, divide the number of strokes by the Strokes Per Minute (SPM) of the mud pump.

Once the kill mud has been pumped to the bit, continue pumping keeping the Drill Pipe Pressure constant until the kill mud is completely around the system.
