RE: Montour County Shared Ride Program and Medical Assistance Transportation Program (MATP)

Dear Shared Ride/MATP Rider:

The Montour County Commissioners have appointed rabbittransit as the Shared Ride Coordinator for Montour County, effective July 1, 2016. rabbittransit is a multi-county municipal transportation authority, which currently oversees shared ride operations in York, Adams, Columbia, Cumberland, Franklin and Northumberland Counties.

Previously, the Montour County Transportation Departments served as the Shared Ride

Coordinator for the county. Under the partnership agreement, Montour County Transportation will no longer be a county-based department and will be consolidated into one program managed by the rabbittransit organization. Customers should notice little to no change in the delivery of shared ride services – same drivers and same fares.

Regarding the MATP program, please see the list of specifics below:

 Mileage reimbursement forms are due by the 5th of each month. Reimbursement checks are processed once a month on the Friday closest to the 15th of the month.

 Mileage reimbursement forms should be mailed to rabbittransit

Attention: Mobility Planning 1230 Roosevelt Avenue York, PA 17404

Customers who require a personal care assistant, sometimes referred to as an escort, will need to complete the attached Personal Care Assistant Form, which requires a doctor’s verification.

Included in this mailing are some helpful hints. Additional information can be found by visiting our website at www.rabbittransit.org/montour.

For trip requests before July 18, please call Montour County Transportation to schedule your trip. rabbittransit will begin taking reservations on Tuesday, July 5, 2016, for trips on or after July 18, 2016. You can contact the rabbittransit Call Center at 1-800-632-9063. The Call Center is open between 7:00AM and 7:00PM, Monday through Friday, and between 7:45AM and 3:00PM on Saturday.

Riders who have co-pays for their trips may not see changes to these amounts, but should confirm the actual co-pay amount at the time of trip reservation.

If you have any questions or need to make trip reservations, please contact rabbittransit Customer Care Center at 1-800-632-9063.
