MARS DOSHA RE-VISITED

Mars dosha is a hard-nut to crack terminology. But let us begin anew. In my opinion there is no kuja dosha. Many students and astro practioners are sick of being heard it again and again.

Mars dosha / Kuja dosha / Sevvai dosha / Chowa dosham / Manglik as it has been pronounced in many parts of India, is just a myth and no astrologer has practically put across clearly as to what is the real meaning of kuja dosha or what exact meaning these phrases carry or what are its well or ill-effects.

Some astrologers say that dosha means high energy of Mars and hence equal placement in both the charts of girl and boy is required to have equal balance of energy level.

In some parts of India, Mars dosha has been given more and more importance without being given any explanation.

01) What does Mar dosha means being in 1,2,4,7,8,12 either from lagna or moon or venus? Kuja will kill either of the partners? Or Kuja will separate? Or will do both?

02) Also, if there is a planet posited in Mars star (Mrigashira, Chitra or Dhanishta) in any of the houses mentioned above, does it warrant Kuja dosha?

03) Alternatively, will there be no Kuja dosha, if a planet is posited in the above houses and it is aspected by Mars?

04) If Mars is in star of Sun, it is said to have kuja dosha; but it needs more time to study.

The responsibility of a student is to look skeptically to the view that if Mars is posited as above and their eventual role in dosha are required to be deciphered.

Astrology is an ancient Science and we are all students of the subject and would like to learn the subject systematically and pragmatically rather than following an age old dictum which has no author or father called, "Kuja dosha". It is known all the dictums followed in the ancient grantha did not accompany by an example natal chart.

In the chart of (a) Jacqueline Kennedy (b) John F Kennedy (c) Indira Gandhi (d) Rajiv Gandhi (e) Sanjay Gandhi, in only Rajiv Gandhi's chart Mar was in Sun star.

In the chart of John F Kennedy and Indira Gandhi, Mars was in Bharani and Purva stars respectively, which are ruled by venus.

In the chart of Jacqueline Kennedy Mars was in Purva. In Sanjay Gandhi's chart, Mars is in Moola, while of course Ketu is conjunct with Sun. (So there is slight evidence emerging?)

There is no clarity on the situation. There are a lot of mis-conceptions about astrology as a subject, and people should have clear cut concept about rather than beating the bush around. It is felt that people like us should not go for sweeping statements.

Also, achieving more points for a comparison between star of girl and to that of a boy, alone cannot promise a long and happy marital life. It is 07th house which has got connection to good houses promises happy and long marital life.

My conscience always prompts me to look at any dictum or word pronounced by even a friend also, to be watched and verified authentically.

A planet alone cannot function for any activity. Mars alone is not capable to cause any untoward act (because we are saying "dosha" which is ill-effects). For death (either for spouse or self), proper houses have to be connected. If 01,3,08 are weak then only early death takes place, else everyone is bound to die one day.

For separation (from marriage), 7th_{house should be linked to 06/12}

along with causative planets. According to my little information, Mars as a causative planet does not cause separation from marriage, but it can if it is linked to 6/12.

Although what guruji professed cannot be discounted, we do not either approve or reject anybody’s claim with reference to any dictum in astrology. If a dictum is portrayed in advance and the author also explains some natal / horary charts, we should be ready to follow that dictum and test it ourselves before preaching it to the public forums.

I have seen people with Mar in 10 have high energetic levels, but they seldom exhibit love but aggression.

We need to understand exactly what the meaning of dosha is. Beat it until it tells the whole story, or hang it until it dies.

In this issue as a second article on Cuspal Star Lord for Vrishabha Lagna is taken up. Vrishabha contains three stars in its Sign i.e. Krittika 2-4 padas, Rohini & Mrigsira 1-2 pada. The characteristics of these three stars were dealt elaborately basing on various Texts of Great Scholars such as Brihat Jataka, Brihat Parasara, Jathaka Deepika, Phaladeepika, Jathaka Bharanam, Jathaka Parijatham, Saravali. Many of the features belongs to Rasi Vrishabha, Gana etc. Some are repeated because of different Authors who describes the characteristics of each star in their slokas. However we can find majority are common from these ancient texts.

I Krittika 2,3,4 pada: Taurus and sign lord Venus. belongs to Rakshasa Gana, Antya Nadi, Garuda Varga, Vaish Varna and Mesh Yoni.

Since he was born in the Krittika Constellation, he will be a miser by nature. He will earn a lot of money but never want to part with it. He will seldom do any good and virtuous things in his life. Most of his deeds will irritate and hurt his relatives and friends. He will spend most of his time in sleeping. Due to his laziness, he might even have to suffer from hunger (Manasagari).

EFFECTS OF RETROGRADE SATURN

VGR PAVAN

Saturn, the tester of one’s patience, is going to turn retrograde on 07-Feb-2012 till 25-Jun-2012. During this course of retro gradation he is also changing his sign (Rasi) from Libra (Tula) to Virgo (Kanya). People born in Leo (Simha) are somewhat relaxed with his departure from Virgo till now but once again they are going to taste the test of Saturn. There are voluminous data about Saturn transit as per Vedic Astrology available in internet and other sources. But very less data is available about the interpretation through KP. The star on which the retro-Saturn moves throws the clue for the analysis and the transit effect must be read with respect to the Ascendant (Lagna) rather than the Moon sign as followed by Vedic Astrologers. Of course I have to confess that we should also take the position of all other planets to give a complete picture of Saturn and his transit but that needs complete birth details. To give a gross reading Ascendant is enough, I suppose.

3) Donate footwear, salt, umbrella (black), iron nails to wanderers near temples.

4) Rescue goat from the butcher and leave it in fields.

5) If you have body/joint/muscular pains then apply Til oil to affected area and take hot water bath after an hour.

6) Visit the temple of Balaji in Tirupati or any Saturn temple in South India.

Lal Kitab Remedies:

1) Pour oil on ground.

2) Donate black pulse, peas, and sandal wood in a temple. 3) Keep iron objects above the door of our house.

4) Feed rice and pulses to fishes.

5) Keep mustard oil in a glass or earthen jar and immerse it inside water.

6) Avoid taking alcohol, egg and meat.

7) Throw 8 kilos of black pulse in flowing water. 8) Don’t use a south facing door in your house.

9) Keep an earthen pot filled with water before starting a good task.

10) Don’t make a window on the back wall of your house.

Hence one can reduce the loss coz of Saturn’s retro transit by following some of the above suggestions as well as self control. As Saturn is the promoter of the self control in every being, he creates an environment which tempts one to do the wrong deed. But if one can control his vices and resists to commit these sins he will be free from worry and anxiety. The basic principle of Saturn is therefore “Survival of the fittest and finest”. Without realizing this truth one should not develop unnecessary fear and anger for Saturn after all He will do what He has to and the same applies to us also.

ANSWER TO ONE BIG QUESTION

Whenever a big astronomical event occurs in the Universe such as

Eclipse or slow moving planets changing their sign or planets

coming under the aspect of Rahu-Ketu, Saturn or Mars a big

question normally comes on the lips of the persons who have

doubts about Astrology.

The question is;

Are the events in our life all fixed? And if they are ‘Fixed’

then why do we need Astrological solutions. Non-believers of

Astrology keep asking this question to the followers of Astrology

and end up making fun of this great science and simultaneously

de-motivating the real hard workers.

To begin with let us revisit an important learning in life and

this is to never to make fun of any subject & language

irrespective of whether one knows that subject or not. For

example, a student of Humanities might simply blow off the Atomic

theory, a Historian might not be able to relate himself/herself

to the formulae of Trigonometry, a mathematician might relate

literature as a hurdle, and science students may find Shakespeare
