NOTE 1: At most 9 total hours of credit can be given for MATH 3398 (Internship) and at most 3 of these hours can be used as Upper Division Mathematics and Statistics Electives. The remaining hours can be used as free electives.

Formal Minor or Track elective (15 hours)

The student must complete a formal KSU minor (consult a current catalog for a listing) or one of the following 15 hour tracks. If a chosen minor does not require all 15 hours, the remaining hours are selected from Upper Division Mathematics and Statistics

Electives.

Track 1: Continued Study in Mathematics and Statistics

Any 15 hours of courses from Upper Division Mathematics and Statistics Electives. Many different directions can be taken with these 15 additional hours such as concentrations on mathematical applications in continuous or discrete areas, preparation for graduate programs in mathematics, etc. Consult with your advisor to carefully select the courses that best suit your career plans.

Track 2: Accelerated Bachelor's Master’s Degree Option for Kennesaw State University’s MS in Applied Statistics

Take the maximum allowed number of graduate courses. See Note 2. Complete the rest of track with any additional courses from

Upper Division Mathematics and Statistics Electives.

Track 3: Accelerated Bachelor's Master’s Degree Option for Kennesaw State University’s MAT program in Mathematics

Take the maximum allowed number of graduate courses. See Note 2. Complete the rest of track with any additional courses from the following list:

Upper Division Mathematics and Statistics Electives

MATH 3395 - Geometry

MATH 3495 - Advanced Perspectives on School Mathematics Part I MATH 4495 - Advanced Perspectives on School Mathematics Part II

NOTE 2: Plan ahead and simultaneously begin graduate studies during your senior year. The Accelerated Bachelor's

Master’s Degree Option provides qualified KSU undergraduate students the opportunity to begin graduate studies at KSU in their senior year and to simultaneously satisfy some remaining requirements for the bachelor's degree and the beginning requirements of an advanced degree. A student may use a limited number of credit hours of graduate-level courses offered within a single degree program in meeting the requirements of both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree. See

http://www.kennesaw.edu/graduate/accelerated_degree.shtml for full details. Tracks 2 and 3 are designed for the Accelerated Bachelor's Master’s Degree Option.
