Innovation
You will learn the innovation process of Design Thinking. A new business strategy approach developed at IDEO and the Stanford University in Silicon Valley. It’s a solution focused and action oriented strategy which involves both analysis and imagination. We believe that traditional theories on ‘sustainable advantages” by Michael Porter and other leading business thinkers of the last century are insufficient to handle tomorrow´s competitive challenges.
The business environment is changing and Design Thinking is the new concept which will equip executives with new tools that can be applied to their own organisation for future growth. This innovative process has helped companies like Apple, BMW and IKEA to win the business battle.

The HPI School of Design Thinking in Potsdam is the first D-School for innovation in Europe. It is set up according to its sister institute, the famous D-School at Stanford University established by IDEO founder and legendary innovator David Kelley in 2004 in Sillicon Valley. Business modelling
One example is the business model canvas developed by Alexander Osterwalder and Yves Pigneur. This model is based on nine building blocks that show the logic of how a company intends to make money.
The Business model is the heart of the company.
You will learn the latest tools for updating a business model that combines modern management thinking with radical new thinking. You will learn tools that will change the way you think – tools that are difficult to get anywhere else in the world.

Module 3 takes place at the IBC Innovation Factory in Kolding – the leading space in Scandinavia for innovation and business modelling. IBC has a history of collaborating with leading thinkers from IDEO in California.
