Applications to the following scholarships are attached. The completed applications can be submitted according to the instructions on the requirement sheet for each scholarship.

West-Aircomm Member Scholarship

West-Aircomm awards three $1000 scholarships to our members.  Members must be a member in good standing for at least 6 months.

 Member does not need to attend any specific school district and must be a newly graduated senior pursuing a higher education at an accredited college/university or degree program.

Beaver Valley Chapter Scholarship

Chapter awards five scholarships. o One $1,500

o One $1,000 o Three $500

 Must be attending an accredited college/university or degree program.

 Must be a member in good standing for at least 6 months of any credit union in the Beaver Valley Chapter of Credit Unions.

WEST-AIRCOMM FEDERAL CREDIT UNION SCHOLARSHIP

West-Aircomm Federal Credit Union Scholarship awards $1000 to 3 graduating seniors that are members of West-Aircomm. A committee will award the scholarships in 2021 based on academic achievement, community involvement, and financial need.

Criteria for Applicant

• Must be a high school senior pursuing higher education.

• Must be a West-Aircomm member in good standing for a minimum of six months.* • Must have earned a cumulative QPA of at least 3.25.

• Must be planning on earning an accredited two-year degree or attending an accredited four-year institution.

• The applicant cannot be an employee, a relative of an employee or volunteer of West-Aircomm Federal Credit Union.

• Fully complete the attached application.

BEAVER VALLEY CHAPTER OF CREDIT UNIONS

Scholarship Requirements

1. Applicant must be a member in good standing for at least 6 months at a credit union that is a member of the Beaver Valley Chapter of Credit Unions.

2. Applicant must be a high school graduate as of July 1, 2021.

3. Applicant must have a grade point average of at least 2.5 for the previous semester and it must be reflected on the official transcripts.

4. Applicant must be pursuing an accredited two-year degree, four-year

undergraduate degree, or full-time job preparatory program at an accredited trade or technical school.

5. Applicant must complete and submit a typed or printed Beaver Valley Chapter of Credit Unions scholarship application and the requested information on the application.

6. Applicants may apply annually if they have not received a scholarship from the Beaver Valley Chapter of Credit Unions.

7. Three $500 scholarships, one $1,000 scholarship. One $1,500 scholarship will be awarded annually and a panel of judges from outside the Chapter will select recipients. Judges will base their decision on the neatness of information provided, the list and description of participation in activities, the statement of personal goals, the content of essay and the correct English usage. In the event of a tie, the deciding factor will be the applicant’s community service

participation.

8. All applications and required information must be received by March 1, 2021 and sent to the following address only:

9. Selected recipients will be notified no later than March 21, 2021 and will be invited to attend a meeting (COVID permitting) to receive their scholarships.
