The American

Academy of

Matrimonial

Lawyers

Minnesota Chapter

The mission of the Minnesota

Chapter of the American Academy

of Matrimonial Lawyers is to

create an intellectual, professional

and collegial environment which

will prepare and inspire members

to improve family law.

Members of the Academy are rec-ognized for their innovation, compas-sion and competence in the practice of family law. To be considered for mem-bership, a lawyer must have a highly developed matrimonial law practice. In addition to undergoing a compre-hensive application review, applicants must pass a national test pertaining to all aspects of family law, including taxation, federally enacted statutes and international conventions. Each year the members of our chap-ter elect officers to oversee the orga-nization’s operations. Members are appointed to various committees that are formed to accomplish the chap-ter’s commitment to improve the prac-tice of family law and enhance the welfare of the family. We encourage all qualified practitioners to apply for membership.
