This site has thought of every possible tool to make your journaling experience the best that it can be, topping any other site in sheer number of useful features. It does lack hardcore security measures, but completely makes up for it in other more user-friendly security tools.
Usability:
LiveJournal (LJ) is a breeze to use. Anyone who has ever written an email will be able to master this online diary site in no time. The site is also very easy to navigate. It has a very clean layout that is intuitive to the average user. All of the options are neatly spread out, placed where you would expect to find them and the text is completely uncluttered, unlike other sites such as DiaryLand (which is far more cluttered), making the site a joy to use.
Security Features:
Though LiveJournal doesn't have military level security features like sites such as Penzu, most users will be content with the site's offerings.
There are three levels of privacy for you online diary. You can keep all of your entries private, only viewable to friends or viewable to everyone. You can also choose whether or not search engines will be allowed to find your journal page or the comments.

It also has features in short supply. This lack of extras can be a good thing for some and a bad thing for others. This online diary site greets the user with a very thought-out design. Everything seems to be where it should be, tidy and neat. Most users will enjoy how the interface is set up. You can edit posts, find old entries and write new diary posts all in the same screen. There's no need to search for tabs or buttons that will yank you to another part of the site. Learning the site is as simple as the site's layout. Most people will be able to sort out all of the features in a few minute's time. A special feature that this journaling site has that others don't is their widget feature. These widgets can be added to your journal as you like. Some widget examples are the Weight Widget that lets you track your weight, the Movie Widget that lets you keep track of movies you've seen and the Travel Widget that keeps a record of the places you have visited. The data that you enter into your widgets can be listed in your journal via graphics or list form.
There's no way you can lose a post with Yo Journal because there are several ways to organize the posts and search for them. You can scroll through a list of posts, search the clickable calendar to find the date of the post, or you can do a keyword search to find posts quickly.
