Through a purpose-built, one-stop student support centre (Holgate Centre), students have

UCAS

UCAS is the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service for all UK Universities, allowing Spanish students to apply to up to five UK institutions. All the information you need is on the UCAS website www.ucas.com along with helpful videos to show you how to apply. The York St John institution number for UCAS is Y75 YSJ.

Accommodation

We have a range of great student accommodation from new, en-suite, self-catered accommodation just a 10-15 minute walk from campus to semi-catered accommodation located on our Lord Mayor’s Walk campus.

For those who prefer not to live in University-owned or managed

accommodation, our Accommodation staff are always on hand to offer friendly help and advice about finding a place to live that suits your needs.

The location of our student accommodation means that daily travel costs are non-existent, with shops selling food, clothes and other everyday items within easy walking distance and the city centre just a five minute walk from campus.

York St John offers students studying their full-time degree in Spain the opportunity to study for a semester on our campus. Each year over 200 international students study credit-bearing modules at York St John University which they can transfer back to their home

The city of York caters for all, from traditional and quirky pubs and cafes, to ghost walks, cinemas and theatre, to the lively, modern bars and restaurants and live venues – York really does have it all. York is also steeped in history with a wide range of arts, cultural and visitor attractions to tempt you, including the stunning York Minster (the setting for all of our graduation ceremonies). York St John University campus is minutes away from the city centre, so is perfectly placed to explore the city.

There are three out-of-town shopping centres, all within easy reach of the city centre. Film buffs will appreciate City Screen - an arts cinema housed in a refurbished printing works. Music, in all its guises, finds an audience in a variety of venues across the city. Contemporary drama, and much more besides, is on offer at the Theatre Royal and the Grand Opera House.

York is also a fantastic starting point from which you can explore the UK, Europe and more of what Yorkshire has to offer. The Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors are National Parks, accessible by public transport, where you will find incredible scenery and bracing, fresh air. The seaside resorts of Scarborough and Whitby also make the perfect destination for a day out (and do great fish and chips).
