Department History
ď‚§ Professional Grooming and Animal Care (formally
Pet Grooming) began in 2002.
ď‚§ Veterinary Assistant program was added in 2004
to the newly formed Animal Studies department.
ď‚§ Moved into the newly built Northwest Campus
building in 2009.
ď‚§ Veterinary Technology Phase 1 agreement with
TCTC began in the summer of 2010.
ď‚§ Animal Studies building built in 2011. This houses
the Vet Tech program and the grooming lab facilities.

This is Phase 1 of Tri County Technical College’s Veterinary
Technology program.
Phase 1 is the first year in this associate degree program.
