Letter from the
Associate Administrator
The purpose of this guide is to provide a window into
which North American Industry Classification System
(NAICS) codes have received the
most contract dollars at each NASA
Center during the previous fiscal year.
Please keep in mind that the NAICS codes
labeled herein only represent funds currently
being obligated to contracts, regardless of whether
these contracts are new or are in subsequent funding
years. There is no guarantee that the Centers will be
issuing solicitations on contracts in these NAICS codes in
the upcoming year. Also, some NAICS codes listed herein
are associated with contracts awarded prior to 2007. Some
of these NAICS codes were revised in 2007 and are no
longer valid.

KENNEDY SPACE CENTER
Kennedy Space Center (KSC) will transform from a historically Government- and program-focused,
single-user launch complex to a more capability-centric and cost-effective multiuser spaceport, serving
both Government and commercial space providers. KSC’s future is launch services, commercial crew,
and exploration programs. The Ground Systems Development and Operations Program is propelling this
vision forward by aligning the Center to process and launch the next-generation vehicles and spacecraft
designed to achieve NASA's goals for space exploration. KSC is playing a key role in solving technical
problems, processing payloads and hardware for future missions, and diversifying partnerships that will
utilize existing capabilities.
