To approve order approving the County Website Programming Resource Payment to Atos Origin for a total cost of $146,265 from the Major Technology Fund

15. COURT ORDER:

To approve order authorizing the addition of a Project Manager position in the Data Services Department to handle the sharp increase in workload as a result of the County's accelerated Information Technology (IT) investments in several areas, and authorizing the Human Resources/Civil Service Department to evaluate the new position for appropriate grade.

16. COURT ORDER:

To approve order authorizing the creation of a full-time position in the District Attorney's Office, Intake Division, to provide assistance during the implementation of the Adult Information System (AIS), and directing the Human Resources/Civil Service Department to review said position for appropriate classification, with said position to be deleted when the funding has been depleted unless a request is made and additional funds are approved.

17. COURT ORDER:

To approve order authorizing the Sheriff's Department, Freeway Management Division, to utilize two (2) temporary clerical workers to assist in processing and generating complaint letters.

To approve order authorizing the audit reports completed by the County Auditor on funds received and spent by certain law enforcement agencies under the federal equitable sharing program to be certified as final with notice delivered to the U.S. Department of Justice, and authorizing the County Judge to sign all related documents.

To approve order approving the renewal application to the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) for the FY 2005 Ryan White CARE Act Title II Administrative Agency (RWAA) Program, requesting the amount of $166,756, as presented.

To approve order approving the renewal application to the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) for the FY 2005 Ryan White CARE Act Title II Service Delivery (RWSD) Program, requesting the amount of $2,325,367, as presented. 21. COURT ORDER:

To approve order extending current contract (Bid No. 2002-181-1227 - Annual Contract for Carpet Cleaning Services) with The Invironmentalists for an additional twelve (12) month period, effective from November 1, 2004 through October 31, 2005.

22. COURT ORDER:

To approve order extending current contract (Bid No. 2003-160-1413 - Annual Contract for Body Armor) with Dallas Public Safety Supply, Inc. for an additional twelve (12) month period, effective November 11, 2004 through November 10, 2005, at an estimated annual contract value of $72,419.00.

23. COURT ORDER:

To approve order adopting a revised fee schedule for parking in the George Allen Underground Parking Garage, effective January 1, 2005, with employee payroll deductions beginning with paychecks issued on December 31, 2004.

24. COURT ORDER:

To approve order authorizing the County Judge to execute a new five year lease extension, in the amount of $11,820.95 per month, with Texas Hawaii, LTD for 12,031 square feet of office space at 4909 South Cockrell Hill Road, Dallas, for use by the Community Supervision and Corrections Department (CSCD) for the period from December 1, 2004 through November 30, 2009, with Dallas County paying for its own janitorial, pest control, minor maintenance and utilities estimated to be $4.00 per square foot and the owner being responsible for any increases in taxes.

COURT ORDER:

To approve order approving a project in District No. 2 for designated improvements on 5 th Street, from SH 78 to Billingsley Street, located within the City of Sachse and authorizing the County Judge to sign the Approval of Interlocal Cooperation Project; and approving an Interlocal Agreement with the City of Sachse for said project for a total estimated project cost of $7,453.86 and authorizing the County Judge to sign said agreement for this Type "B" road work.

1) JUDGE PAT McDOWELL (NEW AUXILIARY COURT) - requests approval to have

access to the Frank Crowley Courts Building's secured parking garage.

2) HEALTH & HUMAN SERVICES - requests approval for the amended Section 8 Homeownership Program, amending Section III. Qualifications for Homeownership Assistance, by increasing the minimum annual income amount required for homeownership to $15,000 and Section V. Real Estate Contracts of Sale, Financing, by increasing the amount needed in savings by the client(s) to $950, as reflected in the Plan.

(Please Refer to Information Item No. 3)

3) JUVENILE DEPARTMENT - requests approval to double-fill a Juvenile Residential Officer III position (#5195) at Letot Center for up to eighteen months. The current employee has recently been called to military service. This employee is on leave without pay status (LWOP) and the double-fill will have no additional financial impact on the budget. Recommended by the Office of Budget and Evaluation.

4) OFFICE OF BUDGET & EVALUATION - requests approval for additional funds for the Oracle lii users' PC upgrade/replacement installation in the Auditor's Office, Purchasing, Human Resource (memory upgrades only), Treasurer's Office, and the Office of Budget and Evaluation. The basic installation of $75 per PC for 78 PCs were authorized. However, additional cost for the installation to include 54 hours of project management (needed if more than 10 PCs are installed according to Atos Origin), removal of old PCs, coordination/scheduling support, and data imaging of old PCs was not anticipated and therefore funding was not requested and authorized. The total cost of the additional billed services is $14,845. Funds are available in the Major Technology Funds, Oracle 1 li Project. Recommended by the Data Services Department.

TEX-21 Hydraulics Task Force Chairs Meeting in Austin, Texas on December 2, 2004: $181.40 is available in General Fund, Public Works Department, Conference Staff Development, FY Budget 2005, (00120.2010.2050.2005).
