(9)

ADVANCED MANAGEMENT PROGRAM

The Advanced Management Program expands the possibilities executives see via our integrated three-level curriculum: personal leadership, strategic thinking, and execution—during a four-week transformative experience.

Personal Leadership.

Great leadership starts with true self-awareness. In the Advanced

Management Program, executives come to better understand their current level of awareness and their core values, so they can align day-to-day behaviors with overall goals and priorities for more effective leadership.

Strategic Thinking.

One of the greatest challenges leaders face is creating strategic initiatives, especially during times of uncertainty. Executives learn to balance risk and innovation to be better prepared to address external and internal demands.

Execution.

Executives are already proven leaders when they enter the Advanced Management Program, but through questioning assumptions and reflecting on what they have learned, participants identify concrete steps to create an even clearer vision and to implement change.

Program Highlight.

The unique structure of the program combines intense, focused courses with experiential learning. The first part is set at an offsite conference center to provide total immersion in the experience. The second part uses New York City as a living laboratory to study innovation, improvisation, and collaboration.

What is Columbia Business School

Executive Education really like?

“ The Advanced Management Program was such an inspirational and rewarding experience. The outstanding value was for me the brain food on strategy and innovation with the focus on strategy, execution, and personal leadership. State-of-the-art learning methods and cross-functional and cross-cultural setups with highly interactive sessions ensure the personal learning experience. The return on investment is the chance to trigger business and people with the latest research, cutting-edge and inspiring methods for evaluation and development, and especially leadership with collective power.”

Julia Merkel Senior Vice President, Global HR, ESPRIT

“ I gained insights about my personal behavior, which can be hard to acquire as the leader. I learned the positive and negative aspects of my leadership style that people perceived and how I can adapt to become a better leader.”

Kamalpreet Virdi President and Chairman, Aequor

“ Finance and Accounting for the Nonfinancial Executive sharpened my understanding of the role that finance and accounting play in my business segment. It also helped me communicate effectively internally when financial discussions are taking place, as well to be able to better understand how my customers use financial information in their decision making. Specifically, the different manners of accounting for cost in a business were helpful for me in terms of application to what I do on a daily basis.”

Christopher Duncan National Sales Director, GAF Material Corp.

“ The program that I was a part of was the largest yet, with a diverse group of professionals from both small and large organizations, coming from our own community in New York and from as far away as India and Peru. We all shared a vision to help those who are in need and I felt fortunate to be among such a strong set of leaders, from whom I was able to learn so much.”
