Nash liquid ring pumps and compressors have been known for nearly 100 years as tireless workhorses, designed to stand up to the rigorous, non-stop demands of the harshest industrial
environments. Built better than they need to be, Nash pumps have always been a promise of reliability.
Now N ash will be known for something else as well: ingenuity. In developing the Vectra liquid ring vacuum pump series, N ash employed advanced design technologies to achieve optimum performance and unprecedented production efficiencies. Production efficiencies ultimately passed on to our customers in the form of unique value and competitive prices.
The new Vectra series pumps are designed from the ground up, based on customer defined market requirements. The multidisciplinary design process relied on input from R&D, manufacturing, marketing and most importantly our customers, General Industrial and Chemical Process engineers. The result: a revolutionary line of vacuum pumps tough enough to be called Nash.

But durability isn‘t enough. So all Vectra vacuum pumps incorporate a simple modular concept with interchangeable parts that result in a high level of adaptability. Our design methods also resulted in technology advancements such as a patented new cone design and a new rotor configuration, which provide the best characteristics of both conical and the more compact flat sided designs. The pumps also can be used as compressors or as a vacuum pump discharging against a positive back pressure. Overall, Vectra pumps are the result of painstaking engineering and the use of finite element analysis, which determined the most efficient means to achieve the highest level of performance and the
greatest possible value. A world class design.
Because requirements are different for pumps used in General Industrial and in Chemical Processing applications, there is a Vectra pump for each: the GL, for General Industrial and the XL for Chemical Processing. Both are built to maximize efficiency and reliably meet the specific demands of each market segment.
3-D CAD and finite element analysis enabled N ash engineers to optimize the Vectra cone design.
Whether operating as a vacuum pump or compressor, Vectra has the ability to reach positive differentials of up to 30 PSI.

GENERAL INDUSTRIAL DUTY - VECTRA ”GL” SERIES
The Vectra GL is designed to deliver outstanding reliability and performance for General Industrial applications. Built-in mechanical seals, direct drive speeds for 60 Hz and 50 Hz power sources and a broad capacity range are some of the features that separate the Vectra GL from the competition. In addition, cone angles have been optimized to reduce the size of the pump. And Nash‘s patented Gas Scavenging technology dramatically improves pump performance at high vacuum levels.

CHEMICAL PROCESSING DUTY - VECTRA ”XL” SERIES
The Vectra XL is a pump designed to stand up to the harsh environments found in the Chemical Processing industry. The XL is constructed of ductile iron and stainless steel. It can accommodate a variety of mechanical seals and achieves higher differential and hydrotest pressure ratings than the GL. W hile the XL incorporates several unique parts for the Chemical Processing industry, it has many parts in common with the GL. This allows maximum efficiencies and optimum value. Also in common with the GL are the improved cone angles, which decrease the size of the pump, and N ash‘s patented Gas Scavenging technology, which dramatically improves pump performance at high vacuum levels.
