After a two year absence the Southern New England Golf Expo returns to Rhode Island at the Twin River Casino in Lincoln, RI February 21st and 22nd 2015. This event brings out the best of New England. “It all starts with the local golf community and we have partnered with the best in Southern New England. Our goal is to make our golf expo different than any other bringing golfers from around New England to sample golf, restaurants, shops and entertainment, all in one package,” says event organizer Jim Hillmann, “and

showcase Rhode Island as a great golf travel destination”.

The event was last held in 2012 when over 6,000 golfers visited the SNE Expo. Once again the Expo will support local golf with Buttonhole and the Challenge Cup being the two charity recipients to benefit from the proceeds.

In addition to local, regional and national vendors there will be interactive exhibits to test golfers in a long drive, closest to the pin and a putting challenge. There will be a giant auction where attendees can bid on everything golf and Yesterday’s Legends will have sports

memorabilia from your favorite New England teams.

Tickets for the event will include two FREE rounds of golf at a local course, a one year subscription to Golf Digest, admission to the Expo and other freebies which will total over $75 for only $12

There will be plenty of retail merchandise on sale and golfers can test out the latest and greatest in the 10 bay indoor driving range.

What vendors are saying about our other show the WNE Golf Expo held in Westfield Ma. This event raised $15,000 for the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Westfield.

“I was happy to see so many people there, especially at the beginning,’’ said Doug Juhasz, golf professional at Ledges Golf Course, of his first time at the WNE Golf Expo. “When they opened the door at 9 a.m., it was like they opened the floodgates.’’

“I probably shook hands with 2,000 of the 2,500 people there,’’ Lapierre said. “I was talking to people non-stop, for seven hours. It’s so great to talk to people face-to-face. You can send out all the emails, but people aren’t always going to see them or read them.’’

"This is by far the best advertising our club does and we hope to add to the over 1,000 golfers that visited our club as a direct result of the Expo last year", added Jim Haberern, general manager of Elmcrest CC.

“I thought the show was a huge success,’’ said Dave DiRico, owner of Dave DiRico’s Golf Shop in West Springfield. “Talking to all levels of golfers about how they can make their games better and how they can enjoy the game more.’’

About the Twin River Casino Venue

The Twin River Casino event room is a 30,000 sq. ft. carpeted area that can hold over 150 vendors. Outside the main room is a 5,000 sq. ft. area that will be set up with additional vendors.

There are many fantastic restaurants and shops inside as well as several fast food restaurants and of course gambling. Inside the main area they have a main stage for lessons from area pros and seminars. In each corner of the room they have 10 x 10 foot video screens that will feature commercials of vendors, the long drive and closest to the pin contests and other golf videos.

One of the benefits of this venue is the easiest move in, move out of any

convention center. Twenty five feet from the main room is the ground level move in driveway and next to that is acres and acres of FREE parking. The hotel for the event is six miles from the casino and offers a shuttle service to and from the hotel so you can enjoy yourself without the hassles of driving.

We feel we will draw golfers from all over the region including MA, CT, RI, VT, NH and Maine.
