Does your little one bop and sing every time music plays? Channel that love into his/her first dance class!

Dance & Music Design School’s 2 year old class is a wonderful way to introduce all the ways the body can move and relate to music. The class will cover all the basic dance steps; walking on

tip-toe, marching, galloping sideways and forward, hops on one foot and skips. Basic floor patterns are covered: moving in a circle, diagonal, and free floor patterns. Basic dance and academic con-cepts are introduced: dancing at various heights and speed, making letter shapes with our bodies and learning to listen to musical cues. All the exercises are danced to friendly music with an

em-phasis on creativity. This class is perfect for toddlers looking for a group experience. Each class is limited in size to only 8 dancers.

Parents will receive 2 free tickets to our year end show in June. This 1 1/2 hour show is the perfect introduction to live dance for your toddler.

Class Attire: Girls - any color leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers any color skirt. Boys – white t-shirt, black or navy cotton shorts or sweat pants, black or white ballet slippers. Available at our D&MDS Boutique (845) 896-1111

Dance & Music Design School offers a unique approach to teaching young kids to dance. Each class is story-based and often cobines a popular children’s book, from traveling to a castle to dragons learning

to swish their tail, even painting colors in a black and white world. Why have your child take a class where they stand in lines memorizing terminology when your dancer can be a tight rope walker in a

circus or take a safari trip? This class will keep your child active, engaged and loving dance. This is the perfect class for your pre-K 3 year old; dancers attend class one day a week. The basic foundation of dance is taught using kid friendly imagery and story lines. Music recognition is taught

as well as basic body alignment. At Dance & Music Design School our teachers understand the need for this age group to move. All of the exercises have dance steps that encourage movement, as opposed to traditional dance classes that demand standing at the barre or in lines for extended periods of time. While our classes are imaginative and creative, each exercise will lay the foundation for more complex

dance training in years to come.

Each class is limited in size to only 8 dancers.

Dance & Music Design School offers a unique approach to teaching young kids to dance. Each class is story-based with a large range of stories, from super heros to dolls in a doll house, even baking a

rain-bow. Why have your child take a class where they stand in lines memorizing terminology when your dancer can be a tight rope walker in a circus or a pirate looking for buried treasure? This class will

keep your child active, engaged and loving dance.

This is the perfect class for your pre-K 4 year old; dancers attend class one day a week. The basic foundation of dance is taught using kid friendly imagery and story lines. Music recognition is taught

as well as basic body alignment. At Dance & Music Design School our teachers understand the need for this age group to move. All of the exercises have dance steps that encourage movement, as opposed to traditional dance classes that demand standing at the barre or in lines for extended periods of time. While our classes are imaginative and creative, each exercise will lay the foundation for more complex

dance training in years to come.

This class will have the option to join our Cornwall studio on stage in June. These classes have a separate year end show from all other classes in the school. We want to ensure your child has a posi-tive experience on stage. Dancers will perform one class story on stage with the assistance of the class

teacher. There is no backstage time for this age. Separation from parents at this age can be stressful and result in a negative experience. Parents will receive 2 free tickets and 1 free DVD. Dancers will

purchase a keepsake costume from the studio.

Class Attire: Girls – pink tank leotard by Bloch, pink tights, pink faux wrap skirt by Bloch, pink bal-let slippers, hair up off the face and neckline. Dance & Music Design School offers a unique approach to teaching young kids to dance. Each class is theme based with the year broken into 3 semesters, Magic Castle, Fun Faire and Safari. Why have your dancer take a class where they stand in lines memorizing terminology, when your dancer can fly on a magic carpet or visit the fun house mirrors? This class is sure to keep your child active, engaged

and loving dance.

Kindergarten & Elementary Dance is the perfect class for your 5-8 year old; dancers attend class one day a week. The basic foundation of dance is taught using friendly imagery and story lines. Music rec-ognition is taught as well as basic body placement. At Dance Design School our teachers understand the need for this age group to move. All of the exercises have dance steps that encourage movement, as opposed to traditional dance classes that demand standing at the barre or in lines for extended periods of time. While our classes are imaginative and creative, each exercise will lay the foundation for more

complex dance training in years to come.

Kindergarten & Elementary Dance class will be invited to perform in our year end show held annu-ally in June. Dancers will be included in one show lasting approximately 1 1/2 hours long. We want to

ensure your child has a positive experience on stage. Rehearsals and shows are kept to a manageable length and are well organized. Parents will receive 2 free tickets and 1 free DVD. Dancers will

pur-chase a keepsake costume from the studio.
