ORIENTATION PROGRAMME FOR DEGREE STUDENTS

Welcome to Tampere University of Technology!

In this programme you will find the details for the official presentations as well as the free-time activities organised during the orientation week. This programme also includes the timetables for your Introduction to Graduate Studies course which starts already during the orientation week.

On Monday, you will receive information on the practical side of becoming an official student at TUT and

will register at the International Office in person.

The degree programmes will hold a Study Guidance session on programme-specific and study-related matters during the orientation week. You should attend the session of your own degree programme.

Please check from this programme on which day of the orientation week your degree programme is organising their session. After the study guidance sessions you will sign up for courses together with your

tutor group.

On Tuesday, you will attend a General Study Information Session to find out more about TUT’s grading system and to learn how to enrol for courses and exams through the POP student portal. The day will end with a city tour around Tampere (for those who have signed up).

On Thursday there will be an information session on Finnish language courses at TUT and an introduction

to IT services and security.

Friday’s sessions will focus on the services that are available to students registered at TUT.

We hope that the sessions and activities organised throughout the orientation week help you get started with your studies at TUT and settle in Tampere!
