“The staff at the international centre and all of my teachers are very nice; they help me
with anything I need. In the beginning, it was scary to start a new life in a new country,
but people here really make you feel at home, and comfortable. There is help for
counseling, visas and immigration, and the activities organized by the centre are great!”

ENGLISH FOR ACADEMIC PURPOSES (EAP)
Studying English in Barrie is great! I get to practice speaking English in class and outside of class and the people at Georgian are very friendly. I have learned many things in the English for Academic Purposes program. I have learned a lot about presentation skills and have lots of chances to practice my speaking. Now I feel confident speaking in front of the class.
The teachers are extremely helpful and are willing to take time with me so that I know the right answers Georgian College also has a great International Centre for international students. I was able to get homestay living accommodations, free airport pick-up and go on exciting trips to Niagara Falls and Canada’s Wonderland
