IMPROVING OUR CUSTOMER’S EXPERIENCE
Iron Mountain
Trap Rock
At the beginning of the 20th century, Fred Weber, Sr. bought his first piece of mechanized equipment - a solid-tire, 5-ton dumpster truck. His company started rolling as he steadily combined talented people and the right tools. Today our philosophy remains the same: Bring profession-als together and give them the tools to get the job done. Our subsidiary companies support each other to ensure the suc-cess of your project.
At Iron Mountain Trap Rock, it’s
not just about working hard, we take pride in safely providing our customers the strongest, highest quality, most uniform aggregate on the market. Class I Railroads, Departments of Transportation, Cities, Counties and general contractors have achieved substantial mainte-nance and reconstruction sav-ings long-term by incorporating this “one of a kind” aggregate.
Products are shipped how and when they are needed at Iron Mountain. With our newly expanded rail system, we can service three 80 car unit trains simultaneously while loading 80 cars in less than 6 hours. Day or night... truck, train
or barge ... we deliver.
We believe that a commitment to health, safety and environ-mental matters benefits our customers, our employees and the communities we serve.
In 2007, Iron Mountain Trap Rock achieved the National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association’s (NSSGA) Silver Environmental Excellence Award.

Iron Mountain Trap Rock currently drills and
shoots a 135-foot rock face. The material is then
loaded into a 50-ton haul truck and dumped into a
Primary Jaw Crusher that crushes it down to an 8”
minus.
It is then conveyed approximately 2,000 feet to
the Secondary Plant where it is processed through
three cone crushers and screened into the finished
product.
Our portable plants are capable of producing over
1,400 tons per hour. We produce more than 30
rock gradations that meet all state, city, county and
airport specifications.
In addition to around-the-clock services, we can
provide jobsite blasting and crushing of stone.
