The Nissan Hardbody is legendary all over the world. Globally it is referred to it as the
NP300 – the “N” stands for Nissan, the “P” for Pickup and “300” is the series number
in the commercial line-up. Thus we have decided to launch the new improved model
as the Nissan NP300 Hardbody – still reliable, still durable, but now more affordable
than ever.
This enduring vehicle offers you great return on investment. Our range of diesel
engines produce cleaner firing for smoother acceleration and drivability, as well as
better all-round performance and fuel efficiency with minimum smoke emission. So,
you can look forward to a more comfortable ride, with less noise and reduced wear
and tear that will also result in reduced maintenance costs.
The NP300 Hardbody is confident on just about any surface. The quality finishes
are developed and tested by firing diamond chips at the paintwork, offering
maximum protection from flying gravel or stone and an all round E-coat anti-rust
treatment means this workhorse can cope with any job in extreme humidity, damp
and/or wet conditions.
The Nissan Hardbody has always been a bakkie that got the job done, no matter how
tough the task, and the NP300 Hardbody takes it to the next level.
VERSATILE NATURE OF THE HI-RIDER

Enhanced power, safety and visibility combined with essential
cabin comforts like power windows, a tilt-adjustable steering
column, dual airbags, air-conditioner and additional storage
space in Double Cab models; confidently confirm the NP300’s
versatile spirit.
Inside:
The Hi-Rider finish includes front seats in stylish leather
and textile trim, leather covered gearshift knob and steering
wheel, front and rear headrests and a sliding rear window.
Redesigned pillar seals ensure extra firm window closure for
a quieter, dust-free interior, and maximum protection against
water seepage in wet conditions.
Outside:
Strong load-box inner panels are grooved for you to insert
a wood or metal board for separate front/rear loading
sections and a horizontal board can be slid in too for separate
upper/lower loading decks. Oval tubing in the roof-rack for
Double Cabs matches the side step style and is ideal for light
recreational cargo after a hard day’s labour.
The Nissan NP300 Hardbody Hi-Rider range delivers on
usable space and utility, with ease. What’s more, the Double
Cab confidently handles the balance between business and

Previous diesel engines are upgraded with already established Navara technology
that draws on a 50-year heritage of engine building expertise. And when it comes to
reliability, power and performance the second-generation 2.5 litre common rail turbo
diesel engine definitely won’t let you down. It utilises the potent combination of a
turbo and intercooler to produce awesome power and torque and comes standard
with a 5 speed manual transmission that makes light work of any situation.
Our range of diesel engines has also been designed to greatly reduce the noise,
vibration and noxious CO
2(carbon monoxide) exhaust fumes common to earlier,
unsophisticated diesel engines making this NP300 Harbody an eco-friendly explorer.
It also uses an eco-friendly oil filter cartridge which can be completely incinerated
should you ever need to change it yourself.
And by utilising cleaner, quieter running engines, comfy but functional interiors and
extra safety features the versatile NP300 Hardbody range not only makes it possible
for you to enjoy a more eco-friendly driving environment, but also allows for you to
take your business on the road – just about any road.

Inside:
Adjustable sliding front seats to make getting in as easy as getting out compliment
interior space, comfort and functionality. Top of the range models feature comforts
like power windows, dual airbags, power steering that is tilt-adjustable and plenty
of storage space to secure valuable items. So there’s no need to sacrifice capacity
for comfort. The balance between cabin and load space is ideal for any hardworking
individual who needs an equally hardworking bakkie.
Outside:
The NP300 Hardbody’s single rail, closed steel ladder chassis, toughened
suspension and fade resistant shock absorbers provide safe, steady driving with all
loads, on all roads. Higher ground clearance, bigger wheel size (on certain models)
and the long travel suspension of the NP300 Hardbody add to its already confirmed
stamina and superior sturdiness.
Add the extra-strength tailgate chains, double-walled tailgate and rear side panels,
sturdy cargo hooks as well as the built-in divider well for creating separate loading
areas, and it becomes clear that the NP300 Hardbody Workhorse won’t let you, or
itself down.
Cab interiors
New dashboard layout incorporates a cigarette lighter, dual trip meters, room lamp,
digital clock, low fuel warning light and a headlamp-warning buzzer. These features
are all standard throughout the range.
Cab exteriors
Zone tinted windscreens, tinted glass and moulded mud-flaps are just a few new
features added to some of the models in the range.

of 15 000 kilometres, a standard 3 year/90 000km Service Plan (exception K07) and
Hardbody’s proven record of getting the job done the Nissan NP300 Hardbody is the
best investment you can make.
SAFETY
Nissan’s industrious NP300 Hardbody won’t settle for second best and never compromises on safety.
With higher ground clearance (on certain models) that allows for extra all-round visibility, a solid ladder
frame chassis that absorbs the force of impact from the front and impact crease folds that minimises
impact in the cabin, you’ll feel confident that the Hardbody can deliver even the most precious of cargos,
without a scratch. And if you consider this ‘weapon of mass construction’ also comes with ventilated
front brake discs, side protection bars in all doors, collapsible steering column and the Nissan Triple
Safety System, you know you’re putting your safety in good hands. Headrests on all seats and halogen
headlights are also standard making the Hardbody the safest office on four wheels. What’s more, all
models with airbags also come with seatbelt pre-tensioners.
SECURITY
Remote keyless entry and central locking are standard in all Hi-Rider Single & Double Cab models.
Hi-Rider Double Cab models also include child locks on all rear doors and a remote fuel lid release lever.
Immobiliser and personally coded ignition keys are standard on all NP300 Hardbody models. (Please see

Since 4 October 2006, all new Nissan vehicles are fitted with the Microdot hi-tech anti-theft security feature as standard. The Microdot technology offers added peace of mind from a security perspective. A sticker applied to the vehicle is a visual indication that the vehicle has been fitted with Nissan Microdot, and this is also a deterrent to would-be thieves. Some insurance houses are offering premium discounts to customers if they have this anti-theft feature fitted to their vehicles.
