CIC’s 3-Year BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION PROGRAMME

Cambridge International College offers ambitious men and women a fl exible three year Business Administration Programme with a range of specialisations. CIC’s 3-year (fl exible) Business Administration Programme is designed by experts to develop the high-level skills and competencies vital in men and women seeking successful careers in business, commerce, fi nance, logistics, management, marketing, human resource, administration, project control and related fi elds, and to facilitate entry to graduate and MBA-level study. The high quality CIC Study & Training Materials, which are included in the Programme Fee, ensure superb tuition and the acquisition of wide-ranging knowledge to help accelerate career development in today’s fast moving world of competitive business. The Business Administration Programme leads to awards with specialisations in:

Business Administration (BBA) Human Resource Administration (BHA) Commerce & Administration (BCom) Materials & Logistics Administration (BLA) English & Administration (BA Eng) Management & Administration (BAA)

Financial Administration (BFA) Marketing Administration (BMA) Hospitality Administration (BSA) Project Administration (BPA)

STUDY METHOD AND DURATION

 Registration onto the Programme as a CIC Member can take place on any day or date of the year; there are no fi xed start dates, no term-dates or semesters; you register when you are ready.

 The description ‘Study Year’ is a guide only. The fl exible distance-learning study method of CIC’s Business Administration Programme allows Members to progress at their OWN pace. The average time taken to complete the Programme is 24 to 32 months, but it is fl exible depending on previous studies and qualifi cations, ability, time available, and ambition.

 The Programme takes account of existing qualifi cations and/or work experience; applicants who are considered by CIC to be suitably qualifi ed or experienced, might be granted Study Exemption (and Fee reduction) from one or more Core Subjects in a ‘Study Year’.

Karen Adora Wilson-James, BA, St Vincent:

“Since studies with this internationally accredited institution I have received two promotions. I am extremely happy my academic accomplishments are now on par with my professional experience. CIC cared about my success and I highly recommend it.”

Rola Mohammad Fayyad Abu-Qerayyan, BA, Jordan:

“Studying with CIC greatly enhanced my management skills and knowledge; the subjects chosen were very benefi cial for the enhancement of my career. Studying might have been quite diffi cult due to timing; but the excellent BA Program was created to overcome this issue.”

Kelvin Yaw Amponsah Gyasi Baffour, BA, Ghana:

“With my BBA I have a new job with Next Generation Broadcasting as Area Sales Manager. I moved from Standard Chartered Bank Ghana Limited as Team Manager to Adepa Pharmaceutical Company as General Manager, and have now got this even bigger job!”

Manda Vyonsi, BA,Zambia:

“Ever since I began studying your BBA Programme, there has been a continuous improvement in the execution of my duties as Finance Manager for a large Company with over 1,000 employees. Your fees are affordable and I have already recommended

your college to many friends and relatives.”

Prosper Ndega, BA, Tanzania:

“I worked as a mere Bank Teller in a branch of National Microfi nance Bank Plc (NMB), the largest bank in Tanzania, but within a short time of my BBA with CIC I was promoted and transferred as a Business Support Offi cer, a managerial and challenging position. CIC has contributed greatly to my success!”

Moses Olima Tiang, BA,Kenya:

“I appreciate the CIC Programmes which are focused to the dynamic business world. The BCom Programme I did with CIC enabled me to gain promotion to the post of Senior Accountant and scholarship and admission to Maastricht School of Management for MBA in Accounting and Finance.”

3-Year BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION PROGRAMME ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

For Registration applicants must be at least 20 years old and have one or both of these entry qualifi cations:

 Academic/Professional Qualifi cations: To gain acceptance an applicant must hold at least Diploma or local equivalent examination passes, or other recognised examination-based Course, Program, Training or Study qualifi cations or awards acceptable to and recognised by CIC.

 Work/Practical Experience/Seniority Qualifi cations: CIC highly values work experience, so a minimum of three years work experience at an appropriate level of responsibility is expected of applicants applying for registration onto the Programme based upon their work experience alone.

ELIGIBILITY ASSESSMENT (before applying for Registration)

If you are UNcertain if you are eligible for your chosen Programme, or if you are entitled to any Study Exemption, complete the ‘Eligibility Assessment’ Formon page 5, and send it to CIC with your CV or Resumé and relevant supporting documents (certifi cates for fi rst-aid courses, junior school awards, etc, should NOT be sent) WITH the non-refundable ‘Eligibility Assessment Charge’ of GB£25. Your documentation will be assessed by the College’s Admissions Board, and you will be quickly informed whether or not you are eligible for registration onto the Business Administration Programme, and what if any Study Exemption will be granted - see below - and what your Fee will be. The ‘Acceptance Letter’

will be sent to you by airmail post or email, and may be used for exchange control purposes, and/or in support of scholarship, bursary or sponsorship applications, or requests for educational loans or grants. Note: The College cannot undertake your Eligibility Assessment unless and until you have paid the required Eligibility Assessment Charge of GB£25.

‘STUDY EXEMPTIONS’ AND EXAMINATIONS

 Holders of relevant CIC Diplomas, CIC Honours/Advanced Diplomas or CIC Higher Awards, and holders of similar qualifi cations awarded by non-CIC bodies, might be granted a ‘Study Exemption’. A ‘Study Exemption’ might be granted on a Subject for Subject basis ONLY if:

(i) the applicant has ALREADY studied the full syllabus of a CIC Core Subject to an acceptable level AND has passed an Examination on that syllabus set by or recognised by CIC; AND

(ii) the recognised Examination (whether set by CIC itself or any other recognised body) must have been passed within three years prior to registration onto the Programme. Examinations passed longer than three years before registration will NOT be accepted for CIC Core Subject

‘Study Exemption’purposes. Study Exemption is NOT permitted from the Project.

 If one or more ‘Study Exemptions’is allowed then the Programme Fee may be reduced. If a ‘Study Exemption’ is allowed, the CIC Study & Training Material for that Core Subject is NOT supplied. However, the Member must revise thoroughly his/her former studies of the syllabus of that Core Subject because, even if a ‘Study Exemption’ is granted from a Core Subject, the Member MUST STILL sit and pass the CIC Examination set on that Core Subject. A ‘Study Exemption’ is NOT an exemption from sitting an Examination - the CIC Examination for EVERY Core Subject of the Programme MUST be sat and passed even if a ‘Study Exemption’ has been granted.

 The maximum number of ‘Study Exemptions’ allowed is six (6). CIC reserves the right to grant or to refuse to grant any Core Subject ‘Study Exemption’. The College reserves the right to amend the title and/or contents of one or more Core Subjects to be studied as part of the Programme.

End of ‘Study Year’ Examinations are arranged in a Member’s own area - there is no requirement to come to the College premises to sit Examinations. Arrangements for Examination to be sat are made only after registration onto the Programme, and after satisfactory progress in studies. Examination arrangements cannot be made before registration onto the Programme.

CIC 2-Year BA - BACCALAUREATE - PROGRAMMES

A Two-year BA Programme - which excludes the Third Study Year - can be registered for; ask CIC for the details. Holders of the Two-year BA may enrol to study the Third Year of this Programme within 3 years of completing the Two-year Programme; only the Third Year will need to be completed.
