Live Endoscopy Course
We are pleased to welcome to Milan the Italian and foreign colleagues who
will be attending the 4
thInternational Live Endoscopy Course - IMAGE 2013.
This year, as per tradition, the faculty is made up of the major international
opinion leaders of the digestive endoscopy community. They will alternate
daily between lectures and live sessions from the digestive endoscopy
rooms of the Istituto Clinico Humanitas.
The aim of this big international event is to present the most recent and
important clinical innovations in the field of diagnostic and operative
digestive endoscopy.
By alternating live sessions, lectures and monothematic symposia we are
able to mix educational, clinical and technical concepts thus developing
cultural and practical knowledge.
The impact of technology in this meeting is very important because it
allows the participants to experience the major technological innovations
of interventional endoscopy. The attendees will have the opportunity to
be acquainted with instruments and accessories available on the market
helpful in a traditional surgery setting.

ABOUt MILAn
Milan is the main industrial, commercial and financial center of Italy and a leading global city. Its business district hosts the Italian Stock Exchange and the headquarters of the largest national banks and companies.
While not considered as beautiful as some Italian cities, having been greatly destroyed by Second World War bomb raids, the city has rebuilt itself into a thriving cosmopolitan business capital. In short, what makes Milan interesting for tourists compared to other places is that the city is truly more about the lifestyle of enjoying worldly pleasures.
Milan is a major world fashion and design capital. The city is also well known for several international events and fairs, including Milan Fashion Week and the Milan Furniture Fair, the largest of its kind in the world, and it will also host the 2015 Universal Exposition.
It hosts numerous cultural institutions and universities, with 185,000 enrolled students in 2011, i.e. 11 percent of the national total.
Thanks to its important museums, theatres and landmarks Milan attracts more than two million annual visitors. The Duomo, the fourth largest cathedral in the world and Santa Maria delle Grazie, decorated with Leonardo da Vinci paintings, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. La Scala, one of the best established opera houses in the world and the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, an ancient and glamorous arcaded shopping gallery. Brera art gallery, with some of the finest artistic works in Europe and the Pirelli tower, a majestic example of 1960s modernist Italian architecture. San Siro, a huge and famed stadium and the Castello Sforzesco, a grand medieval castle.
