Step 1 Log In Log into Infinite Campus using your district login information

Step 2 Search student Search for student by student

name/student ID number or within your class roster

Once found, click on the student’s name

Step 3 Index Tab Be sure you are in “Campus

Tools”. You can get there by clicking on the small grid in the upper right of the page.

Go to the Index tab

Step 4 Go to the PLP Header Under the Student Information,

choose PLP and General

Step 5 Team Members Select Team Members Tab

Step 6 Create Team Teachers’ names populate

automatically. Select “Fetch Classroom Teachers” to update this information.

Use Find & Link New Team Member to add household members and advisory staff members in your building.

Step 7 Documents Go to the Documents Tab

Step 8 Create Document Select New Document to create a

new plan

Step 9 Create New Plan Under Create New Plan, select MTSS Plan and click on Create Document

Step 10 Education Plan Complete all areas highlighted in

example on the left. (All areas in red are required to be completed in order to Save the plan.

Each section of the plan will populate as you Save and Continue the previous section.)

Start Date only; Do not enter an end date

Plan Name = MTSS Plan

Plan Type = Area of need and Tier Learning Area(s) Addressed = Specific subdomain for area of need

Select Save. Save & Continue if you are ready to go to the next section.

Step 11 Learning Attributes Learner’s Academic Strengths =

manually enter student strengths Learner’s Academic Needs = manually enter student needs Learner’s Learning Style = manually enter student’s learning style

Select Save. Save & Continue if you are ready to go to the next section.

Step 12 Goals and Objectives Select New Goal to populate the fields required

Step 13 Goals cont’d. Sequence # = The number of the

goal you are writing for this plan (e.g. The first goal is Goal #1) Goal Name = The area of need Goal = Manually enter the student’s goal and strategies used to meet the goal.

Current Performance = Describe the root cause of the student’s problem. Why do you think the problem is occurring? What factors are having an impact on the student’s ability to be successful? Include student's current and expected level of performance

Success Indicators = Describe how you will know the

intervention is successful. What will you be looking for? What achievement do you expect?

Goal Assessment Criteria = What is the progress monitoring tool you will be using to measure success?

Select Save. Save & Continue if you are ready to go to the next section.

Step 14 Objectives (Optional) Sequence # = The number of the

objective you are writing for this plan (e.g. The first goal is Goal #1) Goal Name = The area of need Objective = Manually enter the student’s objectives

Assignments/Activities = Optional

Resources = Optional

Assessment Criteria = Optional

Select Save. Save & Continue if you are ready to go to the next section.

Step 15 Services Select New Service Provided to

add specifics of the intervention

Step 16 Services cont’d. Complete all areas in red.

Service= Way the student is serviced for intervention Service Position= Who is providing the service Start and End Dates= of intervention; not of the plan Direct= minutes provided by Highly qualified staff

Indirect= minutes of work with paraprofessional or on computer, etc.

# of Sessions= how many times Service Frequency= how often

Check the box if you want to include this information in the printed plan.

Select Save. Save & Continue if you are ready to go to the next section.

Step 17 PLP Team Meeting Select New Team Meeting

(All previous meetings created will appear in the Team Meeting List)

Step 18 Team Meeting Notes Enter the Meeting Date, minutes

from the meeting, and check which team members identified in Step 6 (above) were invited and attended.

Select Save. Save & Continue if you are ready to go to the next section.

Step 19 Student Demographics Student Demographics populate

automatically from Infinite Campus.

If this information is updated once the plan is created, select Refresh Student Information.

Select Save. Save & Continue if you are ready to go to the next section.

Step 20 Parent/Guardian Information Family Information populates automatically from Infinite Campus.

If this information is updated once the plan is created, select Refresh Guardian Information.

Select Save. Save & Continue if you are ready to go to the next section.

Step 21 Review Return to Documents Tab.

Highlight the plan by clicking on it once.

Select Lock/Unlock to lock the plan when complete and ready to be active. You can unlock

anytime to make necessary changes.

The lock option is a visual to show that the staff member who created it is now finished working on it. It does not prevent you from making future additions. To do so, highlight the plan and unlock it. Remember to lock it

again when you are finished editing.

Step 22 Progress Monitoring Once plans are active, progress

monitoring can be recorded using the MTSS Progress Monitoring Tab.

Open the MTSS Progress Monitoring tab.

Select New Status.

Complete all areas in red to Save.

You can enter up to 10 scores related to a single

goal/intervention.

Goals and Strategies must describe the goals of the plan and the strategies used to support the student reaching the goal.
