A Note From Fr. Dan

A special thanks to all who volunteer their time to help pass on our faith through the Religious Ed program here at St. Ambrose--the catechists, the aides, the parents & students. A special thanks to Christina Smith, Beth Pifer and

Michelle Levine for all their hard work coordinating and supporting the on-going faith formation of our children and youth.

"Mass in the Park" will be Sunday, Sept 29 at 11:00 a.m. We will gather at Gaiser Park for Mass followed by a pitch-in lunch. The parish will provide ham- burgers & hotdogs & water. You are asked to bring a favorite dish to

share. There will NOT be a 10:00 Mass or 12:30 Mass on the 29th. If it rains, everything will be at St. Ambrose.

As the Long Range Planning Committee contin- ues to meet, we want to invite you to a special

"Parish Assembly" on Sunday, October 13 at 5:00 p.m. We will pray, have a meal and a presentation by Mr. Steve Goffinet of Scholer Corporation, our architects hired to help us in our planning. There will be time for questions and comments as we look to St. Ambrose's fu- ture. Please save the date!

Change Haiti Jar - Due to the in-

creased use of the monthly Haiti enve- lopes that parishioners receive in their contribution envelope packet, we have experienced a continued decline in Change Haiti jar donations. The com- bined total received in change during August and September was

$16.11. The Haiti Mission is being gen- erously supported by the contribution envelopes and EFT giving and for these reasons, we will discontinue the Change Haiti jar monthly collection. If you would like to continue donating your change to support Haiti, please put the money in an envelope or bag marked Haiti and drop it in the Sunday collection.
