1. How to connect the foot with the display

Please find all related accessory in the small packet.

Please use the hex-wrench (see picture below) to tighten the 8 screws into the foot.

Deploy the display upright and connect the power cable.

Use the key to open the rear door. You will see a USB port and a RJ45 network port. You can connect the Ethernet network via RJ45 port or with your W-Lan.

2 Connect the display with your WLAN network.

Plug your mouse (USB-port necessary) into the display.

Click the right key on your mouse to exit the running system and click “ok” to get to the sreen desktop.

Then click the following icon on screen to open the menu.(down in the middle of the screen)

Now choose your language.

You can play videos and presentations from USB. Just download the content, put the content you like to play on the USB-stick and plug it to the USB-Port on the backside of the display.

Then go to “FileManager”, click on the line “USB” and choose the content you want to play

If you like to use the Digital Signage Software via LAN or WLAN, go to “settings”/WLAN and click on your WLAN IP. Then enter your Password and click “save”.

Please note down your WLAN IP for connection with your Server / PC!

3 Register Server IP address in system.

You see the following image on the bottom of the screen, click the “back-icon”(first sign on the left) to exit the system setup menu.

Then choose digital signage with left mouse click.

Now please press the middle roller on your mouse. You will see the right image on the bottom of screen, and then click “register” with left key on mouse.

Click “change account” and set your server PC’s IP address into the first blank. Then name this machine, f.e. “001”. Click “register“, and then exit the system with a click on middle roller.

Finally choose “exit” on the bottom and “ok”.

To leave the menu click on the “house-icon” on the left on top of the screen.

ATTENTION: Make sure your Server / PC is in the same WLAN as the Display

4. Install digital signage software on your server PC

Now you need a PC as server PC with win7 system (notice: windows server 2008 will be better).

To install our digital signage software, unzip the digital signage software on your computer.

Attention: Before you install the digital signage software on your computer, you need to close your Anti-virus system software!

Install the update version E-Server EN V 3.9.2.msi with the setup.exe-file. You will find it on the KARE ftp-server in the public folder (Login data can be requested through support@kare.de)

After you install the digital signage software on your server PC, you can see the digital signage software icon(left image) on your computer desktop. Please make sure there is the server software icon( right image) on the right bottom corner of the screen.

You can click the E-Server software icon to enter into the software system.

A prompt will occur, please answer it with yes and choose the task bar “player”. To add a new player please choose Server Address and type in the Players WLAN IP, which you already used in the KIOSK WLAN menu.

ATTENTION:

The connection will only work, if the Digital Signage Software is already working on the Display and the Server/PC and the KIOSK machine are in the same WLAN network!

Operating digital signage software on PC.

To launch Signagelink software, click Digital Signage icon on your computer desktop. If you are logging from the computer other than the server, launch Internet Explorer and type url http://serverIP/webedit

There is a pre-define Admin account “sa”. The default password is 123456.

After you sign in the system, you can change the password for this account.

System Administration

1.1

New User Account

To create a new user account, click Admin →User→New. Enter User ID and Name.

And then choose an organization and assign appropriate roles. When you have done, click Submit.

1.2 Delete User Account

To delete a user account, click Admin →User→Select User→Click Delete

To change password for a user, login with the User ID, then click change Pwd

You need to enter the old password, new password and confirm password.

And then click Ok.

1.4 Create New Role

Click Admin →Role→ New, Enter name, apply level and then choose the permission for the role. Click submit

1.5.5 Data Collection Service

If you have any real time data want to show in the content, you could use the customer Data Service.

2 Resources

Resource menus are used to maintain Video, Image, Music, Template and PDF files.

The Template menu is used to maintain predefined templates and user templates.

2.1 Video

To maintain files, click Resources → Material. You can upload or delete video, image,text,music,flash from system.

To upload a video, click → →

Navigate to the directory where your video file is located. Select the file and then click open. If you want to upload multiple files, press the shift or ctrl key and mouse left button to select files and then click open.

To delete a video file, select the video file and then click Delete.

Then click OK. The file will be deleted.

2.2 Image, Music, Text, Flash

Follow the same steps as video files to maintain image, music, text files.

The text file means Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Word, Excel and PPT will be converted into PDF format directly, for Android system does not support Microsoft office.

2.3 Template

You can create your own templates for future use. To create a new template, click Resources → Template → New

3 Content Managements

3.1Create New Contents

To create content, click New Content

The system will take you to Content Design Studio.

Choose position 2 to switch to the new editor

The Scene Name and Play Time (how long the scene will be played) are required for a scene. Enter the name for the scene and time it will play (in seconds). Then you can start your content design.

2.3.1 Image

To add an image to the scene, click image icon .

Select an image from the list, e.g. Jellyfish.jpg. Double click the name. Use your mouse to realize and move to the location your desired. Then click anywhere on the screen to release your selection.

2.3.2 Text

To add text, click icon, a text edit area will display on the screen

Move the text area to any location of your choice and realize the text area.

Then double click on New Content to start text edition. You can set the color, font size. The following is an example of text area.

2.3.3 Scroll Text

You can choose the font and set the font size and color. You can also adjust the scroll text speed, direction and type. Then click OK. Use the mouse to select the scroll text you just created, realize and move to your desired location.

You can follow the steps above for other features. After you complete your scene design, click to save the design. To add another scene, click , and then follow the steps above to create more scenes.

You can preview your design by clicking . After you have

completed your design, you can publish the content.

If you click OK, the content will be saved. If you click , then it will go to publish screen.

2.4 Delete Contents

To delete content, click Manage. Select the content you want to delete.

And then click delete.

2.5 Schedule and Publish Contents

2.5.1 Schedule

After you finish your content design and click , the system will automatically load content schedule screen. You can also navigate to this screen by click Publish.

After click publish, it goes publishing settings.

You must set content expiration time.

Select means that “The content will be continuously played in expiration time”.

Select means that “The content will play by weekly or monthly”

Select means that you can set the start date and end date; start time and end time as you like.

If you check , it means this content has priority to be played at the time you set. You can select in and

type.

4, Player Monitoring

2.7 Player Information

To view player information, click player→player information

You can see player information such as Player ID, Player Name, Organization and so on. If you want to delete a player from the list, check the player you would like to delete, then click .

To monitor player, click player→player Monitor.

The screen shows the information about players. To view detailed information, click the link under Player Name, e.g. XY.

If you want to look the current content of a player, you can click .Wait for about 60sec, you can see the screen at the right corner.

If there are no any network connection for some place where the machine is located, you can prepare a empty USB memory card, 4GB or 8GB is ok, which depend on the quantity of video and photos. You also need use software to edit these ads content in computer, above edit ads contents steps , see above instruction.

Click “Export” with your mouse, you will see the following image :

Click “OK”with your mouse, and then you will see the tips from window, you need name the file and then save as it to USB memory card.

Yes, It is a compressed file, mo need unzip the compressed file, you can put it in USB memory card directly.

Finally, you need insert USB memory card into the USB input of machine, it will auto copy those content to the internal SD card from the machine.
