DocAve Online is a multi-tenant Software as a Service (SaaS) offering from AvePoint, hosted on Microsoft’s Azure Platform as a Service (PaaS) technology. With a unified, browser-based user interface and a fully-distributed architecture, DocAve Online integrates AvePoint’s powerful backup, administration, and data management technologies into a highly scalable, enterprise-level solution for Office 365 with a focus on SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, and OneDrive for Business.
No end-user facing interface provided for on-demand backup and restore. Backups are automatically taken every 12 hours and kept for 14 days. In order to restore a site collection, you must contact technical support. The only supported restore option is a full site collection restore. The restore uses the same URL, so you will lose all the data that is currently hosted at that URL.
(Via Recycle Bin. By default, deleted sites, lists, libraries, folders, items, and documents will all go into the recycle bin.If an end user empties his or her recycle bin, the content will be transferred into the site collection recycle bin. A site collection administrator is able to restore items from the site collection recycle bin. Items in the recycle bin will remain there for 90 days before permanent deletion.)
(All versions will be automatically included when restoring the document from the recycle bin.)
(Supports restoring all versions or a specified number of the latest major and minor versions.)
DocAve Online is a client-facing tool, which gives the organization the power to build customizable backup and restore plans according to organizational Service Level Agreements (SLAs) as well as data protection and retention requirements.
