Introduction

OSH EVENT has introduced a new way of online sport competitions via website www.osh-event.com. OSH EVENT is completely transforming the way of competing in Martial Arts Tournaments. Unlike traditional tournaments, virtual Karate Tournament makes competing simpler, easier, and cost effective. Join from any place on this planet, any time, without travel and accommodation costs. Compete against professional and amateur athletes from all around the world and improve your skills.

1. Awards

a) 1st Place, 2nd Place and 3rd Place will get digital certificate of achievement and exclusive winning frame digital.

Notes: For participants from Indonesia will get Medals.

b) All participants will get certificate of participation and T-Shirt.

c) Overall Champion will get CASH AWARDS. Team who has most medals in rank, will get CASH AWARDS.

2. Entry Fee

The entry fee is USD 25 for individual and USD 30 for each team (Kata Team). No refund on paid entries.

3. Tournament categories

a) Tournament separated in two types, Virtual Kata and Virtual Kumite which each will be carried out in different categories/division, separated by age and sex.

b) The number of entries per categories does not exceed 128 participants.

c) Categories may be split or merged by the organizer if needed with/out notification from the participants.

d) Team Kata categories consist of three persons in same gender and same categories performing same Kata in Harmony.

Kata Rules

a) The participant will perform and submit 3 Katas at the beginning. First video the participant must wear blue competition belt, Second video the participant must wear red competition belt and Third video participant must wear blue competition belt.

b) Only Katas from the official Kata list (Appendix A) are allowed. c) For Kata Team, no Bunkai need to be performed.

d) For those who wearing hijab, it is mandatory to wear Olympic Style Hijab. Any failure in following this regulation will impact in Disqualification.

e) It is mandatory to bow in the beginning and end of the performance. Any failure in following this regulation will impact in Disqualification.

f) If based on total participants in the category need the players to perform 3 Kata, it will use three videos based on order of submission.

g) If based on total participants in the category need the players to perform 2 Kata, it will use two videos based on order of submission start from Video 2.

h) If based on total participants in the category need the players to perform only 1 Kata, third video will be used.

i) There will be verification for Videos submitted to make sure that your video is: • Playable

• Correct belt order

a) The participant will perform 2 Video in Kumite Action of each maximum in 1 minutes. First video the participant must wear blue competition belt,

Second video the participant must wear red competition belt and Third video participant must wear blue competition belt.

b) First video, the participant must perform self-training against static object such as shadow target, sand sack, pole, makiwara, or any non-moving target.

For second video, the participant must perform self-training against multiple static targets such as against tennis ball, sandsack and makiwara in different

position simultaneously or 3 makiwara different position.

For Third video, the participant must perform self-training against moving object

such as moving hand mitts/padding.

c) Participants should remain follow COVID19 protocols applied in each country.

Your video recording must follow certain requirements as below:

a) Before performance, the competitor must step near camera and saying

• For Kata: name, team and Kata performed (for individual) or Team and

Kata Performed (for team). Please note, saying different Kata than Kata

performed will impact in disqualification. • For Kumite: name and team

b) Minimum video quality is 720p. c) Video taken in landscape mode.

d) Whole body should be seen in the video. Zooming too close to the participant impacting not the whole body visible to the camera is not permitted.

e) Tripod and good lighting use are recommended.

f) Video Performance maximum 5 minutes for Kata and maximum 1 minute for Kumite. g) By submitting the video, you are also giving permission to the host or the organizer

to reupload or reuse your video in any media. h) Video Name in Youtube format should be like this:

• For Kata Individual: [NAME] [KATA NAME] [TEAM NAME] OSH EVENT SHINJIN

• For Team Kata: [TEAM NAME] [KATA NAME] OSH EVENT SHINJIN • For Kumite: [NAME] [CATEGORIES] KUMITE OSH EVENT SHINJIN

4. Tournament system

a) The Tournament will be carried out in single elimination (KO system) mode. b) The winner of each match will proceed to the next round.

c) There will be only maximum 3 matches per participant or 3 Videos need to be performed.

d) For 2 & 3 participants per categories, the match will be a Final Match to determine the 1st_{rank as Gold Medallist (1}st_{winner), 2}nd_{rank as Silver Medallist (2}nd_winner) and 3rd_{rank as Bronze Medallist (3}rd_winner).

e) For 4 participants, it will be divided into two pools. 1st_{rank of Pool A will meet 1}st rank of Pool B. The winner of this match will be the Gold Medallist (1st_{winner) and} the loser will be the Silver Medallist (2nd_{winner). 2}nd_{rank of each pool will be Bronze} Medallist (3rd_winner).

f) For 5-24 participants, all participants will be divided into two pools. Top 3 of each pool will go to second round as below.

g) For 25-128 participants, all participants will be divided into four pools. Top 2 each group will continue to next round (refer to 5-24 participants bracket).

For registration you need a team / club account on our Karate system which can also be used as an individual account in www.osh-event.com

Users which already have registered a team / club account, please re-use your account. In this case you can also re-use all your competitors’ profiles.

• Input all your details and click register • Go to Menu Bar and Choose Event List

• Pick Your event “SHINJIN International Karate Virtual Championship 2021” • Register your competitors

• After all your competitor registered, from your display, click add payment.

• Payments details and Paypal/Bank Wire account will be provided and please pay exactly match to the total invoice number. There will be 3-digit unique code added to total payment.

Entries will be confirmed from the waiting list when the payment process is completed! (Paypal and Bank Wire are accepted).

There will be no refunds after the registration period is closed.

2. Referees

a) Referees will be a representative of each participant’s country (if any) or by invitation.

b) For registration of referee, you will need an account on our system.

c) Referee will give scoring from their own remote location. Scoring timing might be different due to different time zone. Referee will be given range of time to give score to the participant.

d) Users which already have registered in our system, please re-use your account. Contact us if you need support.

Video upload

Each competitor must record, upload 3 videos on a supported video platform and submit the video URL during registration. This gives every competitor the same chance and respects different time zones. Please upload your video to Youtube as a supported video platform.

WARNING:

Competitors will be able to submit the video link after payment.

Competitors should submit verified video link before registration closed.

Judging and Results

1. Judges Panel

Each video per match will be reviewed by 5 judges appointed randomly in each category with same scoring panel.

2. Criteria of evaluation

 The criteria for evaluation of Video Performances are based on two major criteria, this is the Technical Performance on one side, and the Athletic Performance on the other one. The highest combined points will determine the winner.

 For Kata:

➢ The performance is evaluated from the bow starting the kata until the bow ending the kata. Participant has responsibility to make sure, the video uploaded is compete. Participant may be disqualified for submitting incomplete video.

➢ Slight variation as taught by the Competitor’s style (Ryu-Ha) of Karate will be permitted.

3. Resolving Ties

In the event that Competitor obtain the same number of points, the tie should be resolved according to the following procedure embedded in the electronic judging system:

Step 1: Compare TECHNICAL scores before the multiplication factor (70%). The Highest win. Step 2: Compare TECHNICAL scores, comparing the lowest score not excluded. The highest win. Step 3: Compare TECHNICAL scores, comparing the highest score not excluded. The highest win. Step 4: Compare ATHLETIC scores, comparing the lowest score not excluded. The highest win. Step 5: Compare ATHLETIC scores, comparing the highest score not excluded. The highest win. Step 6: Compare TECHNICAL scores, comparing the lowest score excluded. The highest win. Step 7: Compare ATHLETIC scores, comparing the lowest score excluded. The highest win. Step 8: Compare TECHNICAL scores, comparing the highest excluded. The highest win.

Step 9: Compare ATHLETIC CRITERIA, comparing the highest scores excluded. The highest win. Step 10: Coin Toss / Randomized by System
