ITMC 2075 Course Syllabus

1. Name of Course: Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure, Configuring 2. Number of Clock Hours: 48

3. Course Description:

This course provides students with the knowledge and skills to configure and troubleshoot a Windows Server 2008 network infrastructure. Students will learn to implement and configure secure network access and implement fault tolerant storage technologies. Students will gain an understanding of the network technologies most commonly used with Windows Server 2008 and IP-enabled networks. Students will also learn how to secure servers and maintain update compliance. Exam 70-642. MOC 6421.

Prerequisites: ITMC 1070 or equivalent [Working experience with Windows Server 2003,basic knowledge of Active Directory, DHCP, IPsec.]

At the end of the course, students will be able to:

Monitor and Manage a Network Infrastructure

5. Rationale:

Upon completion of this course, students will have a better understanding of Microsoft Windows 2008, the most popular operating system in use today.
